So, um, this is the third time that people have returned remembering Paradisa, correct? Has anyone else noticed any patterns for it aside from...it occurring during the time of a world change, that they all think they have been living there...and the possibility of a second loss? It makes me wonder if...if every one of us does not actually get to go home when we leave. That we may all find ourselves simply in another world with the wrong memories. Or if it is even actually another world.

[She's finally giving voice to the questions she's had ever since she returned from Unova, having finally found the words she wanted. This last time, plus some recent events, helped her out in that.]

I am curious as to what others might think on this... Or, um, if anyone might have any of their own theories.

[ A very new one, right here. After watching and thinking on things awhile, he's taking this opportunity to speak up. ]

Could be stasis. Somewhere else.

It certainly casts a new light on previous assumptions. [she knows it is inevitable that she would leave the castle one day, but doesn't like thinking about what awaits at home because, last she remembers, things were pretty messed up (and she kinda contributed)]

What of people from the same world from different points in time? If we don't go home, then who is there in our place that others remember?

It really does seem that way.. Though I do have to wonder if it's true for everyone, or if others have actually managed to return home.

[She can't know there's a problem unless you say something, Cloud. She'll take him out for food again if he does? Or, at the very least, she's a good listener?]

It really does, unfortunately. I-I wonder just how many worlds other residents may be scattered across. [And if they will ever get a chance to actually go home.]

Mm, yes. [Just from that question alone, she figures that he's either very new or very out of the loop.] People return to the castle quite often, it seems. Some remember, and some don't. And it...it is looking like it might be that the more this happens.

Before this, I...I always figured that it meant we would all return one day. And continue living our lives there. [She even has new memories from her home, which...doesn't quite fit in with her other thoughts about the castle now.]

But now...I almost wonder if it is someone else living our lives. Or if we are remembering someone else's..

Those who have been remembering have only just started returning. It seems every couple of months, and always during...a time when the castle changes to a different world. [She pauses, trying to think if there's anything else she missed, but... Like with most castle things, nope.]

That...is really all there seems to be as to patterns.

That 'different world' part piques him, but it's something for later. ]

Not...not really. Usually, though, there are people still around who remember and will let you know. [Which lead to strange conversations, and bad interactions. But that's not something she will share.]

Or...it will be in the journal. But if not, then...you might figure out you have forgotten, but what it was is truly the hardest part.

But oh, this sounded personal. He paused a second, letting the silence hang. ]

It might not be that we don't get to go home. Maybe our actual selves never left in the first place.

That could be true, too. [But so depressing to think about.] But then, it begs the question of how some who have returned remembered new or different events that happened in their home?

Maybe the castle just filled them in? When people here seem to go home, it doesn't seem like they usually disappear from the castle. They come back remembering new things instead.

[She's OK with silences; she doesn't mind them at all. Especially when she can hear that the other person is flipping through their own journal.

And yes, it is so personal. And that's why she's unlikely to ever bring up that it is.]

A little... If you found you forgot something, but could not remember what it likely was, wouldn't it be?

Yeah. [ Very, now he thought about it. Goddamn. Paradisa was creepy. ]

Like the losses.

Maybe, though...that isn't something I-I would really like to think about. But I have...noticed that too. That they usually don't. But some...they have been gone for months or years, they haven't had a room. Which...I-I guess does also make sense, given that the First Gens do not have rooms with their name on it.

Well, which would be better? If we were taken from our homes and never really went back, and given how time stops there, nothing ever happens again...? Or we're copies, with identical memories that follow the originals to a point, but our own people now?

[And it really only gets creepier.]

Yes, like the losses. Though, only some people have losses involving their memories.

[She's quiet for a moment. Each option had their issues, issues she really didn't like.]

Neither are, really. If the first is true, then...while we do get to return home, everything there is continuously paused and we are never able to remember anything here. If the second, then...everything we thought about ourselves is almost a lie.

I don't know... if it's the second, then once you realize it, you can just be your own person again.
