I understand that it's a fairly common occurence for a castle resident's consciousness to experience a temporary trip home after a head injury. Until last month, however, I hadn't put much thought into the possible reasons or underlying purpose behind this phenomenon. If it isn't too much of an inconvenience, I would like to speak with some of the residents who have experienced this, hopefully to observe a common theme of sorts. Thank you for your time.

Actually, your story is quite helpful. A long period of time, during which a distinct transformation took place. Similar to my own experience, in fact.

For how long would you estimate you were at home before waking back up here?

I know how the first transformation happened. When I was home, I lost the powers I've since regained, and was kidnapped by a cult of folks who worship an ancestor of mine. They pumped me to the gills with his blood, which caused my skin to turn gray, the damage done to my body was healed. Spent about 2 years like that. Here, I was only like that for about 4 months before I was sent home, experienced another few years, save for about a month's worth of time, during which I'm assuming my powers were returned to me.

What sort've experience did you have?

And during those months, did you experience anything you might label an altering occurrence?

I'm afraid the specifics are a bit distinct to my situation, but applicable to a general theme. I gained a year in age and a certain amount of physical resilience. It's planted a bit of curiosity in my mind as to the reasons Paradisa might have for these brief visits.

Over the past year I've gained about 9 years in physical age, though blokes like me don't show our age like most people.

That's a good question, actually. If we're to believe that Paradisa fuels itself from our souls, then perhaps it sends those with weak souls home to get stronger? Nothing strengthens the soul better than experience, after all.

Eh... not really! It was only for a while that I was gone.

Wonder what'd happen if we all took off for the Dead Zone? As I've heard it, the Castle's power doesn't reach out there, so maybe we'd take it's power away...

...though the problem with that's that there are people, like myself, who'd not survive out in the Dead Zone.

From what I've observed during my time here, there seem to be a few cases in which a resident undergoes a distinct change during their cognitive absence, such as an increase in power or experience. It was then only logical to theorize that, perhaps, this positive gain is Paradisa's intention in sending a resident home.

Powers? I don't have any of those...

But maybe experience makes sense.
