1st Event Horizon
I'm ready.
[Sam leaned across the console to call back the others. In a few more moments she'd find out if this had actually worked. If so they would all, save Teal'C, reclaim the last fifty years; if not, well no one would be around to blame her.]
Do it, Sam.
[Cam Mitchell gave her the nod, and she signaled to the Jaffa the it was time. Teal'C enclosed himself in the stasis field, and Carter pushed the switch across the Asgard console, engaging the device. Light flashed and the ship hurled itself back in time, Teal'C stepped up to change the course of the Odyssey before the Ori blast could endanger them once again, avoiding the same happening, except Samantha Carter was nowhere to be seen.]
Did it work?
[Sam looked around her, this was not the bridge of the Odyssey. She wasn't anywhere she recognized. It sort of looked like something on the worlds they had been to where the Ancients had left great old edifices. However, that was more Daniel's area than hers; she didn't identify things; she made them work. Sam Carter was the engineering brain of the unit, and at that moment she was without the unit. She was cut off and separated from the rest of SG-1, and she didn't even have a weapon on her.]
Ok, time to get a look around.
[She wasted no time in surveying her surroundings...what was this? She was laying on a bed, and on a table beside the bed was a small journal, which seemed to be writing out her words and actions automatically].
Ok, I've been...booked. Now how about the whole releasing me to the wild thing.
[Normally, General O'Neill or Cam made the jokes; but in a pinch she had a few zingers, given her situation, she would call this a pinch. She was alone and would have to assume she was likely going to be tracked and monitored, best not to mess with things just yet, until she understood her situation. Sam shuddered with sudden flashbacks to late-night movies where people were hunted for sport. She shook her head. Pull it together Carter. You're a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force for god's sake. She shook off the willies and picked up the book she'd been looking at before getting distracted. It was a small hardbound journal nothing too out of the ordinary about it.
This was it; she really couldn't stay in this room for any longer. The others were probably around and finding them was her first priority; everything else could wait. Sam pressed the open com button on her radio to send out the call. The others would respond; they could regroup and then figure out just what the hell she'd done wrong.]
This is Lieutenant Colonel Samantha Carter with the United States Air Force, other personal military please respond.
[Well here was hoping. While she waited, Sam walked out of the room and started down the hall of what seemed to be an enormous and very solid structure.
Just where the hell was she?]
