[It's been a couple of weeks now since Wizardmon's been back. He's been out to the place where Myotismon was staying before, to confirm that no one's there now, and the rest of his time has been spent trying to cope with the memories of being a human child for years on end. Being restored to his natural form was a bit of a shock, as were the memories of the castle that flooded back at the same time as the memories of his own life - and death.

But given a little time to adjust, he's acclimating nicely to his surroundings once again, and so anyone in the library can run across a little three-foot humanoid who seems to be wearing a wizard costume, and registers as magical to those who can sense that kind of thing. After considering the pages of it for a long time, he speaks into the journal.]

There are so many worlds here, it makes me curious. In any of your worlds, are you aware of a separate world that exists alongside your own, in parallel, as it were?

[He's wondering if Earth is the only planet with a Digiworld, or a connection to it.]

As a matter of fact, yes. I arrived here shortly after leaving that one, actually. It was... strange.

Hmm. In a manner of speaking, yes. To begin with, my own world of Aselia recently existed as two separate worlds, joined together by the sprouting of the Great Seed. Now they've been united into one. We also know of at least one other realm connected to ours through a special gate only accessible under unique circumstances.

I can't imagine it being anything else, considering. What was it like there?

United into one? How interesting.

[But option number two sounds more like what he was interested in discussing.] What sort of circumstances make the gate accessible?

It takes rather a lot of energy, to begin with, and even then the seal strengthened and weakened with the phase of the moon. Moreover, it has both dedicated guardians and dangerous inhabitants, so those would need to be bypassed. Lastly, the gate is held closed by a vast force - its own particular Guardian sees to it that there is no unauthorized access.

It was a lot more dangerous - there were alternate versions of us - but our personalities were the complete opposite. Magic is limited there, unlike in Earthland.

I see. So it was inhabited by humans like yourselves?

[digitalwizardry]

[Very promising.] And what lies beyond it, if you do manage to pass?

A world inhabited by very different creatures from ourselves, who are unfortunately rather dangerous to us. There are rumors that many other worlds connect in the same place as well, but it's as of yet unproven by scientific fact.

It's something I hope to research upon my return.

Right. But not just that, but other versions of ourselves. Most of them worked with the guild, and one of our good friends - she actually was our enemy there.

[Poring over a book nearby, Phoenix can't help but overhear when Wizardmon speaks to the journal. He glances up and blinks--the strange appearance pushes the question right out of his mind.]

In was in one for a long time but I don't think it's what you normally think of when you think of parallel worlds.

The world I come from is somewhat similar. Not all of the inhabitants of my world are dangerous to the humans from the other, although traveling through without guidance would be foolish.

Um... kind of, yeah. But we can't really get to it. [a pause] Or, at least, I didn't think we could.

Well, I would say that traveling through any area without guidance is foolish but then I do come from a dangerous world myself.

I suppose you could say that of Earth and Eldh. I am not quite sure how the worlds were connected.

It was a frozen world. A library, disconnected from the land of the living. Nothing changes there. Nothing grows. There was only one other being there besides myself.
