[Kat's journal opens with a CRASH. Nope, the castle hadn't forgotten about all the components she'd previously wished for in order to make her impressive armory, a hangar, and the FALCON. One wish for breakfast as she was finishing her morning routine brought it all down on her in one fell swoop, and for someone unused to feeling at such a disadvantage she'd lost her balance directly into her desk.]

[Washington had noticed something earlier. Something was very wrong. That crash had him knocking at her door.]

Relatively okay. One moment.

[Yes it was worrying, even for her, but since she wasn't bleeding out all over the floor she felt it wasn't exactly worth panicking. Making it across the room and to the door, however, was definately more arduous then she would have thought. By the time she reaches it and opens it for Washington, she has to lean against it to keep her balance.]

Dizzyness, intense headache, equalibrium difficulties. Symptoms came on simultaneously and without warning. Unsure of trigger. Still, alive and not bleeding, so I'm going to say 'green'.

[Wash hasn't been feeling good since he woke up, really.]

I'm not sure. I was fine for my morning routine. [She gingerly motions him in and then turns and makes her way back to her desk to sit down. Her movement is definitely hindered, hunched and slow, and using heavy use of the wall for balance.]

You look like you haven't had the best morning, either.

Feeling a little under the weather, experiencing equilibrium difficulties. [She takes a breath, slightly labored,] Washington's here. Carolina's also checked in. Whatever it is I'm sure I'll be fine.

[Oh sure, Carolina talks to her. Someone's still mad about that loss.]

Do Spartans even get the flu?

Not that I thought, until today.

There's no shame in taking it easy when you're sick, you know. If you push yourself too hard you'll just get worse, and then we'd all be in trouble if something came up.

Not like I really have a choice. I go to move and the room feels like it's falling.

D'you need anything, or you got it covered?

[He knows how it can feel to be helpless - and he can imagine it's making her frustrated.]

I don't know. What would you suggest for something like this? [You have a miracle drug that will let her go work on the armory? Because that's what she would really like right now.]

Chicken soup with rice, full vitamin supplements with extra C, and bed rest.

[Wishing for said items, aaaand -- whump. Spartan head hitting pillow.] Add 'intense headache' to the list. What is going on, this is ridiculous.

Plenty of water and electrolytes, then.

[But it's early enough, and York is far enough away from the castle to be out of wish range himself, that he hasn't picked up on the correlation yet.]

Well, your immune system is weaker when you're exhausted, you know. Try those exercises they have people do right after cryosleep to try to get your balance back, maybe?

[Kat might have picked up on it if she weren't battling several intense cold symptoms she's not normally used to dealing with.]

I can't even remember the last time I did any of those. [She sighs. She's got some the prescribed water and electrolytes in her fridge, but at this point it seems like a pretty daunting task just to get there. She's a Spartan, though, so she's not about to let a little cold keep her down. Shuffles and groans as she struggles to do the impossible and get herself some nourishment.]

You been alright where you're at?

Yeah, I'm fine out here. [He's technically not out of the castle's reach at all, but not having been close enough to wish for anything in the past several weeks seems to have given York the green light for now.]

Might be some kind of bug going around?

Maybe. It'd better get going before I -- [Not like she can really do much at this point, pausing halfway to the kitchen and leaning on a bunk.]
