02 | In which Howl plays chimney inspector [Dictated/Action]

[Howl has been all over the castle today... residents may have seen him poking about nearly every fireplace or chimney he can find, as if looking for something. He's in the kitchen now, opening the ovens as he talks.]

It looks as if the castle has a bit of a temper. [He laughs a little, but it cuts off somewhat abruptly.] It's not a wise idea to play around with magic if you don't know how it works. It can only lead to trouble. [And he should know.] Thankfully, I have my own resources, and I'd be happy to offer my services to anyone looking to depend a little less on our mercurial host. ...of course, I'll have to find supplies, but there's a town out there, isn't there?

[There's a creak as another oven shuts, sounding further away, as if he's set the journal down and forgotten about it.] Not here either. Blast.

[Clow is in the kitchen making... a cake. Or several cakes, possibly, it's a bit unclear as they're all stacked on top of each other. He's not sure the combination of flavors is going to work, but well, he's got time to experiment.

He glances over as the oven door slams shut]

Are you trying to find something?

[ What's this, a way to possibly deck out her room without having to worry about memories and energy being stolen? She's down for that. ]

[ Well... obviously. But he could be a different kind of wizard. Or an architect with enchanted tools. ]

[When Tsuna hears someone talking (he almost think it's to themselves, for a moment, when he realizes they must be dictating to the journal), he notices that the voice is familiar. It's not really that surprising, since so many voices can be heard every day over the journal, but he knows he's talked to this one personally.

He steps into the kitchen as the man closes the oven. He hazards a guess at his identity.]

Howl-san?

[Well... that's certainly quite the cake, isn't it? Howl arches an eyebrow, but decides to save any commentary for the moment.]

Yes... I was hoping the castle had simply hid it, but that looks not to be the case.

Hm? [He looks up from where he's inspecting the stovetop, as if something might be hiding in there.]

It seems the castle has been stealing people's belongings and memories more than their powers. That's good. [ A faint sigh. ]

Maybe for personal items, but memories? They're intangible, a part of you as much as magic is. But... being that it's magic responsible for stealing it in the first place, I suppose. But it must be an extremely powerful magic to pull something like this off, on such a grand scale.

[ Cuz she's never heard of room decorationist magic, so creation magic was ... probably the closest. Buuuuuut that's by her world's guidelines. ]

[He looks at the stove, blinking.] Ah, are... you looking for something?

I've already checked all the fireplaces I could find.

Oh, I dabble in a little bit of everything. [A laugh] I suppose dimensional magic is my specialty.

[He smiles, then glances back at the stove.] Just trying to track something down.

If I could do that, I wouldn't have to work for a living.

[ She chuckes. ] What can you do, then?

I've ... I've never even heard of dimensional magic before. [ Maybe they had something like that back home - as one of the lost magics? Well, either way. ]

Ah, but you were saying about being able to provide services...?

It's something of an obscure field, I admit.

Ah, yes. Nothing big, as I don't have the supplies right now, but I know a number of spells for daily tasks and the like which might save on a few wishes from the castle. I won't take my payment in the form of headaches and mishaps.

A good number of things. The king was quite find of my transportation spells, but I've found regular citizens prefer magic for more mundane tasks, such as cleaning... I don't suppose anyone here will be needing fair winds for their ships, though.

It would take too long to list my entire repertoire, but if you have a request, I can try to grant it.

If it's supplies you need, I could pick it up from town. It's only fair. I wouldn't ask for much anyway.

[ A little more space maybe. She grins lightly, inwardly grateful that headaches and mishaps wouldn't be involved because yikes. She'd asked for one little thing]

But what would you ask for in return? I don't think a place like this has much in the way of currency.
