[Kallen has nothing against the library, but sometimes sitting in there for a while gets too stuffy for her liking. It's something about the lack of open space and movement, she thinks, not being her cup of tea. This is why she's gathered some materials such as books and schematics to various machines and hauled everything down to the lobby.
Now, she's sitting on one of the couches, leaning forward over a coffee table littered with two open books, the journal, and about three different sets of specs and technical mumbo jumbo. Off to the side covering the rest of the couch are more of the same. The only difference is there are two things on top of them. One definitely resembles a pistol of some kind. The other, a gauntlet with a strange emblem right in the center, over the forearm. They both appear rather old and worn, though upon closer inspection, one would notice they're highly complex, both in make and design.
That's why Kallen is currently staring at one of the books, brows furrowed, an exasperated sigh finally escaping her for all of the journal listeners to hear. Finally, she gives in and dictates.]
Almost anyone here for a while knows it's difficult to keep up an ongoing project in this place. Wishes and brilliant minds and whatever. If you fly solo, there's going to be a time when you hit a wall and need to ask for help. [A sigh.] I think I've run head first into that wall a few times now.

So, anyone here for the trip to Libet might remember that a few of us came across an old castle with stuff in it. I managed to snag two things myself, and I've been trying to figure out how to make them work. It's pretty damn obvious that I haven't had much luck so far. Reading schematics and understanding some of this stuff isn't beyond me, but I'm only familiar with so much.
I guess what I'm asking is if anyone wants to help me out with this? Hell, maybe we could even get them working again. Use them to figure more stuff out, where they came from, who had them... Answers, instead of just more questions. That's a thing all of us could use.
[There's a pause, as she looks over at her finds.] One's definitely a firearm in design. The other doesn't look like a weapon, at least not offensive. It's like an old bracelet, except wider. Both are definitely weathered.
I'm in the lobby, if anyone wants a closer look now. I'll probably be there for a while, actually. [Another pause, as she remembers.] And my name's Kallen.

I remember that thing. He loved playing with it. [A hmmm.] I've got a few of those, if you want to try.

If you guys wanna come look at it, by all means. I'm more adept at piloting than mechanics, anyway.

[It's a good fifteen minutes before York is heading down to the lobby.]

Hey.

Hey. So does the bracelet thing have a power input too, or is it just normal?

Look at the symbol at the center. It looks like there may be something there, but it's really hard to tell. Maybe you'll have better luck.

[He takes it and looks closely at the symbol. Is it decorative, or...?]
