[ Kaito is Mr. Grumpy face today as he shovels down spoonfuls of chocolate ice cream in hopes that it'll make him feel better. ]

[ No. It isn't working but at least the ice cream is yummy. ]

[ Try talking to him. It'll make his day. ]

(( ooc: Kaito is experiencing a loss. From now until next Wednesday Kaito will be mute. Expect a lot of gesturing because he's a very animated guy. ]

...[Walking by the dining area, he notices the young man shoving chocolate ice cream down his gullet.

That ice cream...the texture...the the colour...

...Could that be-...?]

[ Kaito would have asked what the guy's staring at but since he can't speak right now he'll settle for a glare. It's... basically the same thing, right? ]

[BY FORCE OF HABIT, he glares too.

That's his way of saying hello.]

[ Kaito really wants to talk. He REALLY does. But he can't-so even when he tries opening his mouth there's nothing. ]

[ Damnit! This isn't fair! ]

I could not help but wonder about that ice cream.

[ Kaito opens his mouth to ask what about it but-oh yeah. ]

[ Instead he just raises an eyebrow. ]

(Don't tell me it's another voice loss...)

...You can't talk, can you?

[ With a very defeated sigh he shakes his head. ]

How unfortunate...and utterly unsurprising.

Somehow this really shouldn't surprise me.

[Conan is in the kitchen and judging you.]

[ He's just going to glare. Because what the Hell does that mean? ]

[ What?! Why are you here!? ]

Why so surprised?

[ He just shovels in more ice cream, pretending to talk with his mouth full and hoping Conan doesn't notice the lack of sound. ]

[Conan eyes him suspiciously. No retort? That was very unlike him.]

...The Castle has quite the penchant for tying tongues. I've had many an acquaintance with the same loss.

[ He just nods in understanding ]

[ He just eats more ice cream. Maybe if he ignores him he'll go away. ]

[Something was definitely wrong. Conan stares at him for a moment, then grins smugly as he figures it out.]

[ Oh great. Just what he needs. ]

How very appropriate.

[ Shut your stupid arrogant face, detective. >( ]

[ ... ]

[ Hey! You know what he doesn't need his voice for? Flicking Ice cream at you! ]

[Conan ducks away and gives Kaito an unimpressed look.]

Just which one of us is the child right now?

[ Hey! ]

[ Hey.... ]

[ ....Shut up. ]

[ While you're dodging that one he'll launch another. ]

[He'll duck under the table. Sometimes being short was an advantage.]

[ Smug. Even if he missed. It's all because Conan had to duck. ]

[ He takes another large bite of ice cream. Man, this stuff is good. ]
