[A certain young man is waiting around anxiously in the lobby today. He has a date and wow is he ever nervous, although he will be doing his best to hide that when the lucky lady arrives. He fidgets with the cuffs of his jacket impatiently.]
Come on, hurry up...
[Opening his journal]
Hey, where are you, GLaDOS? I've been here for... uh...
[He checks his watch...]
...three minutes...
[oh]

[oh]

aslfkjaslf wow this is late ;u; /sorry
She was coming down the stairs, not dressed all too differently than the usual these days- in a light orange sweater and black jeans, her journal open in her hand... when she heard his message. ]
I'm about to be there. [ she dictated, as she finally got down the final step and walked towards him, a hand rubbing at her head a little. Ever since those cores had started talking to her, she had been toting a constant headache with her wherever she went. It was obvious in the way she looked that sleep just wasn't happening- there were slight dark circles under her eyes and she wasn't moving quickly at all. ]
... so... where are we going? [ she would ask. Hopefully you don't mind her voice being a tad louder than usual, Larry- she can barely hear herself over the voices in her head. ]
is ok
Hey! You look great!
[uh-huh]
We're going to an Italian restaurant! How do you feel about spaghetti?
[He gives her a cocky thumbs up and secretly hopes she actually likes Italian...]
<3
I... don't think I've ever had it before. [ she admits, curious. GLaDOS hasn't really been varying her meals all too much, although the mention of 'Italian' makes her think to the silly Italian man who claimed he was a representation. Hm.
The train of thought quickly dissipated, however- her headache wasn't exactly helping her think things through. ]
Is it good?

[He holds his hand out for hers]
Are you ready?
no subject
So she kind of hesitates- maybe she can get away with pretending she doesn't know what he's doing. And GLaDOS, being quite the liar, does just that and looks back up to his face. ]
More or less. Is it far?

[a zillion miles on foot later]
...so here we are!
[He holds the door open for her]
Ladies first!
no subject
Although the "ladies first" makes her look thoughtfully at him. ]
Is that a human thing?
[ She's trying to look pleasant and not like the walking dead, too, standing up as straight as possible. ]

[He follows the waiter to their table and pulls out a chair for her, and then sits himself. The restaurant has a stereotypical fancy feel, with candles and roses at every table and dimmed lighting. There are several other couples there, but the place is largely quiet. He accepts a menu from the waiter and begins browsing the options]

Taking an opportunity to look around now that she feels a bit less dizzy, she does. She's not one to admire the decorations, but the quiet is pretty welcome. Too much chattering to add onto the voices speaking in her head would definitely be upsetting.
She copies him, opening up her menu and beginning to read it. She doesn't really know any of the dishes, so she's skimming through descriptions, trying to find something that sounded nice. ]
... Is there anything "spicy" in here?
[ she asked, not wanting to pick a hot dish by accident. ]
sorry omg
it's okay akljlasfkjf <3
It's terrible. I don't know why humans would eat something that's so obviously detrimental.
[ Or maybe she just had a bad experience with spicy... but hey. ]
