A lot of you have tried to leave the castle, right? But it's never worked out, as I understand it. But some of you have been here for a really long time.

[There is a brief moment of silence as Yamada considers how to most clearly word her question.]

I guess what I'm asking is, have any of you noticed anything common among those who the castle ends up getting rid of? And...what happens to them after that, anyway?

Before, my answer would be that they went back to the time and place the castle took them from. The assumption may be mistaken, though, what with previous residents coming back after world changes.

I've never really noticed a pattern. The castle takes who it wants to take and brings who it wants to bring.

My understanding is that when old residents come back, they often have no memory of having been here before. But some do, and I wonder...well, I'd really like to figure out why that is.

Guess it's a pretty fickle beast, this castle. I wish I knew what it wants from me, or anybody else really.

There's a shared theory that this place 'feeds' on our emotions. Perhaps some people's emotions are tastier than others?

Your emotions mostly, but yes that does seem to be the way things go around here.

It's just that, if I'm ever forced to leave this place, I don't want to forget my time here. That would be too harsh. Don't you think?

Have you spoken to any of the residents who left and returned? I reckon they might better understand than the rest of us who've always been here.

That's a good point! I guess I was hoping some of them might respond to this entry, but not yet. You wouldn't happen to know any of them personally, would you?

Well, it IS about due for it! Only thing is, I'm not really sure what to do about it.

Well I wouldn't recommend trying to crumble the castle as it has quite a few inhabitants

I'm not sure how to harm the castle without it's inhabitants suffering as well. I was thinking of a metaphysical backfire, but that's unlikely to happen.

Hmm. Maybe force isn't the way to victory, after all. It's obvious that the castle is a pervert, so maybe charming it would be more effective. <3
