i was kind of hoping that we were going to meet more people this time, since we have had pretty good luck when we've gone out on expeditions before.
i mean, there are a lot of people who lived in the castle before that live out in the dead zone, so i am kind of surprised that there isn't anyone around this time.
at least no one i've seen so far!
there is a lot of treasure though, so that's pretty cool, i guess.
and boats!
so i guess that people used to live here, to leave behind all this stuff.
i wonder if everyone is on the move because of the moving magic thing?
or because they don't want to end up like the people in the temple...

i think most of the people out in the dead zone do!
or at least, they probably have a better idea of how it works than we do, since they've been here so long.
the expedition has been pretty good so far!
i mean, no one has almost died so that is a good thing.
also i think jane drew a bunch of pictures of the things she saw in the caves we found, and i know other people have been drawing what they've seen or taking pictures, so we'll have lots to share this time with everyone when we get back.
or you know, while we are out here even.

flora is friendly!
and lente seemed nice too.
but a lot of the other people out there apparently aren't?
i haven't actually met them, so i don't know for sure.
also unless you have one of the magic crystals flora gave us for christmas one year, you can't power any electronic devices at all out in the dead zone.
so cameras don't work for the most part.
