Heeeeeey, Happy Monday, everybody. Are we having fun yet? ... Just a few newbies this week, so a nice personal hello to
Paige, Alucard, and Megamind! You guys came in a lull, so hold on to your socks, there's probably some crazy shit just over the horizon! As for current events? The DeathMatch reopening party is s'posed to be sometime tonight, for those of you interested in booze and loud music and crazy shit. Yours truly might show up once he gets done here. Right now, though, I'm gonna spin a little somethin' for the people who tromped their asses all over the wilderness. By the looks of the schedule they put in the journal, they should be gettin' back sometime tomorrow, so ... here's a little marchin' music for the last legs ... [he kicks back in his chair and sets the week's list spinning]

Those've you who had cars and stuff, where you're from? Tell me your favorite travelin' tune and I'll add it to the mix. Also! I'm gonna be DJing Phoebe and Peter's wedding, so if there's anything you want me to play besides the usual, you all better start tellin' me now. You've got advance notice, so if anyone whines about Whitesnake when the time comes, it'll be their own damn fault.

Well thank you for that little disclaimer. For the record my favorite band is the Verve and if you play the chicken dance we may have to have words.

The Verve? Oh man, I love those guys! I wish more people thought of them as more than just "the Bittersweet Symphony guys".

[So he was in his room grabbing stuff when it was broadcast time and well...really surprised when he DIDN'T hear anything]

I know, right? That's also assuming people even know who they are.

[She smiles, humming along with the music.]

Oh that's one of my favorites. See? I knew you were right for the gig.

[This week, Chell has been experimenting. She'd stationed herself up in the music room, had wished up a giant pile of CDS. But not knowing *what* CDS look like except what information she'd gotten from Mark, the Castle had chucked up a giant stack with a little of everything in it. And She had found a CD player too. Despite not knowing how it worked, a tiny bit of poking buttons and figuring out which side of the CD went into the disk tray, she'd figured it out.

So, this Monday finds her in the music room, hiding behind this mega stack of CDS, with her back to the wall when broadcast time rolls around. Flipping her journal to a new page, she scrawls a request.]

Dear Harry, Can I make a request please? I want to hear The Cure - Just Like Heaven.

[It was a song she'd found rather early, on a CD near the top of the massive stack. She'd sat on the floor, ear to the speaker and repeated it several times over. The lead vocalist's voice made her feel warm and happy inside though, honestly she wasn't sure why.]

[She finds herself humming along as she rubs down her bow and makes sure the string is tight, then singing quietly along with 'We Two'.]

[it takes a moment to place the singer, but once he does?] ... You've got a good voice.

[just like that, all their hard work is totally worth it. can you hear the troll grin, bro?]

Nnnnnope. Still here.

Hey, I may not know much, but I know music.

... So .... is it as crazy busy as the movies and all that shit make it sound?

[She jerks, nearly snapping the string, and lets out a soft string of curses. She glowers balefully at the journal, before she shrugs.]

Thanks, I guess. I always thought my father's was better.

[Chell presses her face and ear flat against the journal, lost momentarily in musical bliss. When the song ends, she writes another message.]

You know you told me you would hook me up with a mix CD? If you ever do, could you make sure there is some of this band on it? And thank you so much for answering my request.

[Chell's not used to getting things she asks for, seriously. This is such a foreign concept to her.]
