What sort of medicine is practiced here? Is it modern?

[ Her writing is elegant, evenly and perfectly spaced, definitely better than any of you peasants could ever hope to accomplish. ]

Dear castle,

I am interested in the agriculture of this world. Not necessarily botany, but I suppose that is fine as well. Have there been any developments towards advancing crop cultivation, or do even the townsfolk resort to simply wishing for their food as well?

Sincerely,
Rosalie Cullen

We all practice what we're comfortable with, I think. I'm from the twenty-first century, for example. But some of us are from different worlds and their healing methods are a little different.

Depends on the world, and that world's definition. Moderately unfamiliar with many of these medicines, however some of them seem less effective than the methods of my own world.

Formula, although also known as "spells". Example; problem known as 'cancer', unknown.

Some of them. When Dr. House was here, he managed to get a lot of machines from our century to the clinic.

I practise 21st Century Medicine and Surgery, if necessary. The best thing is the numerous backgrounds of medicine people have here.

[oh hey, the name seems familiar. (The subject matter makes her of half a mind to point Kyouko here as a bitter joke, too, but that's beside the point)]

I think I've seen some people grow vegetables in the castle's garden. More as a hobby than for subsistence, though.

[Oh, it's dis chick. That was easy enough to track her down.

He answers her handwriting in kind, though his is not at all as perfect as hers. It's slanted and there are some smudges here and there; he's obviously left-handed.]

From what I hear, you're not interested in agriculture at all.

On the contrary, with more practitioners from different worlds, we can easily combat illnesses, viruses an diseases from other worlds, if the situation arises that we need to.

We haven't needed them very much. People don't get hurt here very often, and get sick even more rarely.

If by genetic conditions, one means things such as albinism, that is incurable. However the hazards of living outside with such a disadvantage can be greatly lessened. Things such as heart illnesses are within cures. If my lack of knowledge is disheartening, it is because have base training in healing artes.

Bloodloss is difficult, limbs can be reattached so long as it is fresh. Poisoning, both of magic and body, paralysis and petrification, the addling of wits that makes friends into foes; heal-able.

Would take me a while, and likely a bit slow. 'Miracles', magic does not provide.
