Wedding Post

[when the guests arrive they will see that the garden is in beautiful fall colors. They have chairs set up, and lanterns are hung up for when it grows dark. They are free to mingle until the ceremony starts. The fountain is nearby as well]

Taking seats

[everybody's coming in, taking their seats, etc. Talk it up before the ceremony starts]

Ceremony

[this is the part you've all been waiting for. Tissues are available for all. Phoebe, Peter and Galadriel only for this part :)]

Reception

[congratulate the couple, take a turn on the dance floor, say hi to the DJ, eat some delicious cake]

[The Once-ler will just be sitting as far back as he can hiding out. He promised Phoebe he'd come and he's here. This is his final social obligation of the month, he's sure]

Phoebe

[kungfuwitch]

[Phoebe's sitting at a small vanity, touching up her hair and makeup for the umpteenth time. She takes a deep breath, trying to calm her pounding heart.]

[onlyanapple]

[Sup Phoebe, suddenly there is a Crowley. He gives her an idle wave, before leaning on the nearest available leaning surface]

You know, there's still time to make a break for it. I'll even create a distraction.

[kungfuwitch]

[Phoebe rolls her eyes with a laugh, not even surprised by his sudden appearance.]

And what makes you think I'd want to make a break for it?

[of course Hermione is going to come in and see her "sister"]

Phoebe! You look lovely.

[kungfuwitch]

[Phoebe turns and grins at Hermione, positively GLOWING with excitement]

Hermione, thank you! Thank you for coming.

[kungfuwitch]

[You're a good friend, Once, whether you like it or not.]

I wouldn't miss it.

[Phoebe closes her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath and centering herself. She's not having second thoughts, not in the least, but that's not stopping her from feeling the normal pre-wedding jitters. To stand up in front of all of her friends and the Goddess and pledge her love to Peter. It's a dream come true. She still half expects to open her eyes and find out it's all been a dream and she's lying in bed at the Manor.

She opens her eyes, gazing at the fountain in front of her. It's not a dream. This is real. It's happening. She's getting married to the most incredible man she's ever met. She doesn't even try to stop the grin that crosses her face as she smooths out the skirt of her dress and lifts her bouquet. Taking one more breath she steps around the fountain, treading lightly on the rose pedals.

As she slowly walks down the aisle her eyes are all for Peter. She vaguely registers the guests standing and watching her pass but in that moment her world narrows to that aisle and the man she's walking towards. She wishes her father were there to give her away, but she knew he'd approve of Peter. That thought brings a lump to her throat that she tries to suppress. No. She won't cry. Not yet. Not for those who can't be there. She's shed her tears for them already. Today is about her and Peter.

Her smile widens to a grin as she steps up next to Peter and Galadriel. She sweeps her dress behind her and passes her bouquet off before offering her hands to her soon-to-be-husband.]

[kungfuwitch]

[Her grin changes and she bites her lip nervously]

Have a lot of people shown up?

[courageous_wit]

Not yet. It's still early. I wanted to come and give you "something borrowed".

[kungfuwitch]

You did? [Her eyebrows shoot up] Oh, Hermione, you didn't have to do that.

[Her protest sounds half hearted even to her. In reality she's astounded and thrilled at the idea.]

[waiting for her at the end of the aisle is probably the most nerve-wracking part for him. Peter takes a deep breath to steady himself, and to keep his powers in check. The last thing he needs right now is an overload.

Seeing her stuns him. She's always beautiful but tonight she's even moreso, because she's walking toward him into their new life. For a moment the world narrows and it's just the two of them drawing close to each other.

His hand trembles a little when he reaches for her, but once Peter's hand is clasped around Phoebe's, he feels steadier. The rest of the world comes back into focus, probably just in time for whatever Galadriel has to say]

Nonsense. We may not be sisters anymore, but you're still a very good friend.

[she holds out her beaded bag] I've carried this bag for a long time. It'll be a good "something borrowed", I think.

[kungfuwitch]

[She stands, her eyes softening as she takes the bag from Hermione]

Thank you, Hermione. It means a lot, really.

[aww he made it! Hermione does notice him and gives him a little wave]

[She pulls her friend into a hug]

Thank you. I can hardly believe the day's here already.

Well, I'd better get to my seat. I'll see you in a bit.
