One thing I will never forgive this place for is that it makes me read.

I was looking to see if Hercules dealt with anything like this, 'cause it seems like that guy dealt with pretty much every monster you can think of, and it turns out it's Hera's fault black cats are bad luck.

Hera, just a friendly tip: you really need to stop messing with people. It's getting to be a serious problem.

... What the heck are you talking about?

Well, the story goes that Hera turned this lady into a black cat. The cat was made into a priestess for Hecate's temple. So black cats have been associated with magic ever since, and I guess the bad luck stems from that.

[Hera... Hera... Why is that name familiar?]

Okay... Why would anyone make a cat into a priestess to start with? [Is he even getting this right?]

Pretty sure the Greek/Roman pantheon would be out of shit to do if they didn't screw around with people all the time.

Who are Hercules and Hera?

Well, that's the Greeks for you.

Not all of them are like that, you know. Hestia has always been straight with me, and Artemis is pretty cool.

Who needs literacy when you can just go see the movie?

People from Greek mythology. Hera is a goddess and Hercules is a demigod.

Well, I mean, they all have their good qualities and bad qualities. Kinda like people.

Majority of them were kinda dicks though, you have to admit.

No, they're just stories in my world, but I wouldn't exactly consider people who can't seem to keep their junk to themselves A+ people.

That's the sort of attitude that I find so endearing in young folk today.

Goddesses from my world. Or, a lot of versions of Earth, I guess.
