[It's been a rough month or so for Henry. But today he sounds determined.]

Hey, everybody.

I know this month has been-- [horrifying, terrifying] --bad. Really bad. I've only been here a few months, so the castle's never done anything like this since I've been here, but.... I know it has before, and I know it probably will again. It's using its magic for evil, but not all magic has to be used that way.

What I'm saying is, we can make it better. Show the castle that it's not going to beat us with stuff like this.

[That's his speech. He's not as good at it as some of the heroes in his book of stories, but he thinks it's about time he start practicing.

What do people need when they're upset? Distractions, distractions are nice. There's a pause, and then, gentler:]

Halloween is soon, we should do something fun for it.

If you don't have Halloween in your world, don't worry about it. The only important things you need to know are that you get candy and that it's awesome.

That's the spirit. There's bound to be a lot of candy in a magical castle, right?

All kinds! Chocolate, starburst, gummy worms. Some people hand out toys. Or fruit, but those aren't the good houses.

It's trying, but I'm not gonna let it.

But nobody should wish for any. That's important.

That's cheating. It's way more fun knocking on doors.

But you need a costume for that.

[heloise]

Tell me more about this halloween then?

[fantasies]

Oh, I've got one.

[fantasies]

Halloween's great! You dress up in a costume and go door-to-door, and people give you candy.

[secondchances]

[Ah, kids.]

Hey, you're on top of things. What are you going to be?

[fantasies]

A knight.

[secondchances]

In silver armor, or cardboard armor?

[fantasies]

[He laughs!]

Silver! It's gonna be a good costume.

[secondchances]

Good thinking. I don't think knights in cardboard armor had a very good time.

[fantasies]

Yeah. You need the real thing to get as much candy as possible.

[secondchances]

Isn't armor heavy, though? It would suck to only get to three doors and be too tired to get more candy.

[ This kid's voice seems familiar. It takes some reading around to remember what his name is, though.

And even if it's not the most poetic speech, the fact that a child is the one stating it carries a lot of impact for Lana. What a brave little dude.

Talking about Halloween seems strange to her in light of recent events, but hey why not? ]

Do you have a costume planned out?

It's free candy?

Uhm. Okay. What's Halloween?

[Because hey, if it's going to help Henry keep them all going, Katniss is going to help.]

[Eeek, chocolate!

She would dictate if she could but she can't so she writes:]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with any of those candies, but chocolate.[D:] Are they any good?

We call it Nightmare Night where I come from. But we still go and gather candy.

Well-- [A pause. He clearly didn't think about that.] It doesn't need to be super heavy. I guess I could go without a couple things.

Yep! I just have to make it.

Yeah. All of it. That's why you have to get as much as you can.
