[ On a table in Allen's room will be several items. One item out of the rest is in plain sight, and may be quite familiar to the young man. The other items are a rather large white box containing several dozen peppermint cupcakes, a small black box containing a chrome cigarette lighter, and two envelopes, one with "Step 1" written on it, and the other with "Step 2" scrawled onto it. The contents of the first envelope are as follows: ]

Ask Timcanpy to show you the recording. He knows what it is.
If you choose to not listen to it, move on to the next envelope.

By now I am sure you have figured out why you have received these items. You are a smart kid, albeit still letting your heart dictate your actions & decisions for you — you know how I feel about that — but overall this place has shaped you up to be something I never expected.
I included the lighter because I trust you to know when to use it and how often to do so, instead of letting it be sent back to the Insolitus and into someone else's hands. As for its purpose, the only hint you will receive is that its effect lasts sixty seconds. Try to not use up all the fuel figuring it out.

The whiskey will be to your liking, and the heated blanket...well, I don't think I need to explain why I included that.
