rose: be mildly festive

[While the castle is full of kidlets and candy, Rose has taken her celebrations (namely a velvet cushion, a thick volume of rather grotesque looking horror stories, and a glass of something you probably want to hope is non-alcoholic) up to the rooftop. And of course, what would Halloween celebrations be without a costume. For the occasion, Rose has donned a slip dress and a fake beard.]

I do hate to jinx things with only thirty-four minutes left in the holiday, but I must say I'm a bit flabbergasted that Halloween's passed with no nauseatingly gruesome incidents. It seems the type of holiday this castle would enjoy going to town with on a yearly basis.

[A pause, and a little hum.]

Perhaps it celebrated too prematurely, and had become bored with the holiday when it actually arrived.

[Mufasa pads up a short distance away and sits, and smiles at Rose.]

I suppose the events surrounding that cat could be considered in the more macabre spirit of the season.

It was always a favorite at home. Ignoring it here would be criminal.

I must admit, I'm a little curious - what is your home like?

[A fond smile spreads over his muzzle as he looks out from the roof.]

It is a land doused in light, and golden under the sun. If you look from Pride Rock, the flat plains stretch out all the way to the horizon. There are few trees, but many animals. It is truly grand.

It's kind of nice that it's not screwing us over for once, even if I am almost positive it's still going to at some point before Halloween is up.
