Sometimes I see people doing this about "future" stuff they learn about, but I think it's time to shake it up a bit. I feel like I've accidentally taken a history class. Not complaining, of course. I didn't pay attention in school.

Things I've Learned About the Renaissance (in the past ~10 months):
- Wine is preferred over water (it tastes BAD and you can't convince me otherwise)
- Getting dressed takes forever because you have to put on layers, sleeves, and tie things. Zippers probably brought people to tears when they were invented. Not just because of accidentally zipping up bits.
- Various Italian words, mostly inappropriate and/or used to hit on people
- Dances are weird and make me a little dizzy
- Fresh pasta is a thing
- ~~Showing too much skin is Very Bad and makes big brother unhappy~~ [So gone!] Pants for women = weird!
- Bankers are just as boring as they are in my time
- Don't call da Vinci "da Vinci" because that is wrong
- Popes can have the cutest daughters
- Medicine is pretty much leeches and opium
- Cardinals are not all old men with wrinkles
- "Italy" isn't really a thing yet, just a bunch of city-states (or something? I forgot. Sorry!)
- Something about chaperones... dating is complicated
- Insert more stuff I should remember

[ She draws a breath to speak-- but doesn't know how to answer. ]

Good, I don't do well with rejection. I'll be over in a few minutes.

[And she will be! With a smile and a bounce in her step.]

[ Whoa it takes Lucrezia much longer than that to dress. She will only have one sleeve slipped on by the time she opens the door. ]

[She knows! Steph grins a little at that one sleeve, easily hiding how weird it is to see Lucrezia like this. She wonders how long it'll take her to get used to it.]

Hi. Faster if I help, right?

[Her jeans and hoodie only took moments. Might as well lend a hand.]

[ Lucrezia already misses her multitude of servants. She swallows and nods, stepping aside to let her in. She does try to pick up a few fabrics to set them away. ]

[ Lucrezia just piles them up on a table somewhere before coming back to Steph. ]

Yes. I wanted to keep a handful, for keepsake.

[ They don't fit her in all the good ways? She strolls back to the bed for her other sleeve. ]

I never wore red before.

I associate you with gold, actually. And yellow. [She holds out her hand for the sleeve. She can do this!]

But red can work, too.
