1st kick of the mares leg [Accidental dictation]
[there are soft sounds, distant sort of muttering musings one makes when looking around. Some jostling of the journal had apparently knocked it open and that was why things were so indistinct.
But they were definitely sounds of rummaging, searching, inspecting. The occasional note of surprise or consternation seemed to follow the progress about the room. The the soft creak of a door followed by a rather dramatic gasp.
A long, low whistle.
And the sounds of running water. Guess who just discovered the bathrooms all have hot running water showers?
For the next thirty minutes all the sounds that came through were those of blissfully self indulgent soaking and using more hot water than she had dared in years. Really, those low moans and appreciative sighs were sincere, when you live in space showers are not a thing that could be splurged on.]
