S1E8 [Written/Action] - backdated to Saturday night

He was only here for a short while, but Julio Richter - better known as Ric - has returned home.

[And he will be in the movie theatre watching Gladiator for roughly the hundredth time and trying not to cry into his popcorn]

[Part of him really really wants to ignore this and continue pretending like that month of his life didn't happen. Most of the people he knew were happy to let him do it, to his absolute shock. But would Star feel the same way? He couldn't be sure, but he couldn't quite bring himself to abandon the man - the man he'd learned to call friend - so easily.]

[Not much longer than he had been, then, and with that thought comes a lurching feeling in his stomach]

I...suppose it's hard to say if it is better or worse that it wasn't very long.

I don't know either. Felix was not here long, either, though he wasn't from my world. And I was not close to Jono.

I hope... they are doing well where ever they are.

[Oh, damn...

He sighs]

I have been better, to be quite honest, though I have also been worse.

[There is a long, confused pause, because face it, Felix, you sound nothing like you did as a thirteen-year-old]

[He's working up to it ok?]

'Star...[another sigh and a pause while he forces himself to just say before he can buy into cowardice]

I'm Felix.

[Shatterstar is looking at his journal like it's just slapped him with a fish. He sounds it, too]

They were right, then. That you are usually older. [That sounded more like a question than a statement, but this Felix does sound his closer to his age]

[On his end, it's still pretty obvious Felix feels guilty, now that he realizes he should]

Ah...yes. I shouldn't be surprised somebody told you. That was a loss. I'm not...that is I'm actually thirty-one, normally. Or, thirty-three, maybe, since I've been here two years. If that matters.

[This, somewhat surprisingly, is not a situation he's encountered before. Which means he has no idea how to do with it.]

I'm glad you're well, at least. And... I'm sorry if I did anything that offended you.

It wasn't anything you did. I just...wasn't ready.

[He flinches to himself, remembering the last time he'd uttered that phrase and for similar reasons]

Yes he is. Well, here, anyway. We aren't from the same world.

Ah. I guess things like that aren't that strange here.

We are certainly not the first, no.

Against all odds and popular wisdom...yes. I'm not sure that's any comfort to you.

No - I'm glad you found something good. You seemed as though you have had a hard life.

And hopefully, Rictor is home, where he should be.

Hopefully. [He didn't want to add his suspicion that maybe they never did go home, or mention that in the very least, some of them didn't always go home immediately.]

Might agree with me. I have...habits... [Like hiding from everyone when he doesn't want to deal with things, and may or may not include drinking too much]
