[At this point, Stephanie shouldn't feel an awkward twinge around Lana anymore. To be honest, she can't even remember all the details of why she feels that way. Apparently, though, it wasn't enough to stop her from suggesting she and Lana hang out.

Finding out someone feels at least sort of the way you do lately is enough to do that, she supposes. So, it's time to make this happen!]

[ ~~Something about a home-based torture chamber-~~ She can't remember, either! Other than some little awkward things here and there, which she has to deal with around most people, anyway. Shit happens in Paradisa.

Although some of it is good. Good enough to make her sound much more amiable than when their last conversation ended. ]

Tonight? No, it's one of the slowest nights for the restaurant, so I don't need to be there.

What did you have in mind?

[Oh, Steph hasn't forgotten that. Going ice cold when she mentions Ezio? Curious. She's debating about bringing that up... once Lana is sufficiently stuffed with chips and cupcakes, of course.]

Do you do sleepovers?

...Sleepovers?

[ Welp. That's a pretty big leap from hanging out on rooftops. Really, she has a hard time remembering the last time she did something that could be considered a sleepover.

That time with Damon doesn't exactly count.

Was it Chloe? That was years ago. ]

I'll have to admit, I think I'm pretty rusty on that front.

[She had a feeling. Just as planned.]

Luckily for you, I happen to be an expert.

Really? I...wouldn't have guessed.

[ Seriously. She doesn't know anyone their age who still does that! But she won't judge. Fun is fun. She's just been short on the single female friend spectrum for awhile. B( ]

Is that an invitation?

Lucrezia stays over a lot. [And she won't mention the other person, because she doesn't want to accidentally cockblock or something.]

It's definitely an invitation, if you're okay with the idea and don't mind giant dogs hogging the bed.

[ Well, she can easily picture Lucrezia at a sleepover. Maybe not a modern one, but an old-fashioned one with...lots of pillows and tea and cakes or something, who knows.

And she already sleeps with dogs hogging the bed. ]

Not at all, it sounds fun. What should I bring?

[It's a little more like that when Stephanie sleeps over at Lucrezia's. At Steph's, there's a lot of donuts and soda.]

Something to sleep in, pillows if you're picky, umm... anything, really. The general idea was sleepover, I didn't go very far beyond that.

Check and check. What time would you like me to come over?

How does eight sound?

Okay, I'll be there.

Cool. My door will be open.

[ Aaaand Lana will surprisingly not ditch with a lame excuse, but she is five minutes late. With a good excuse! Except who cares this is a slumber party.

Even with the door open, she'll still knock against is as she leans in to look around, a stuffed backpack and pillow in one hand. ]

I hope you didn't fall asleep already.

[Steph's sitting cross-legged on her bed, petting Ace, who pretty much takes up half of it. When Lana pokes her head in, Steph smiles and stands.]

Definitely not. Creature of the night and all that.

[She shoves a chair against the wall.] Here, you can put your stuff here for now.

[Yikes, she was really going to have a sleepover with Lana.]

[ Yikes indeed. But the animal in the room makes things a little less awkward for Lana, setting her bag and pillow on the chair before taking one step towards the bed and crouching down. There, she holds her hand out, palm up, as an invitation for Ace to properly judge her. ]

And who's this handsome devil?

[Ace checks Lana out, but clearly wasn't bothered by her to begin with.]

This is Ace. The resident Bat-dog, though he spends his days sleeping and playing fetch, now.

[ She's too used to dogs at this point, despite not having really been a consistent dog owner back home. Slowly, she'll move up to sit on the edge of the bed, reaching out to pet Ace and scratch behind his ears. ]

Wow, does he have a suit and everything?

He's more of a simple domino mask sort of guy.

[Totally kidding.]

Aha, well, that's something I'll save him the embarrassment of showing off to me.

[ Glancing around and wow, this sure is a modern girl's room. It seems so detached from her style, and even her expectations, despite it being very standard. When was the last time Lana was in another girl's room?

Seriously?

She really is terrible at the friend thing, just like she told Lucrezia. ]

So, I brought a few snacks, but nothing really noteworthy.

[ Climbing off the bed to go unzip her backpack. She packed very light, especially considering some of that room is taken up with tupperware and a thermos. ]

Tea sandwiches, rum balls, and sea-salt potato chips. Oh, and some ginger ale.

[Steph's room is pretty unremarkable and very much lived in, some piles of stuff on her dresser, desk, and maybe in a corner of the room. There are some extra pillows and blankets on another spare chair, and while it's not messy, it's not the neatest of places. Steph knows where everything is, though.]

You had me at snacks. Ace, off.

[Time to shoo the dog away, because they're totally eating on the bed.]

[ In that case, Lana will be opening up any of the containers to set on the bed, with the bag of chips and two bottles of ginger ale to join along. Holding the thermos, Lana can't help but look a little disappoint. ]

I brought hot cocoa, too, but went and forgot the marshmallows. Do you have any; or whipped cream, maybe?

Let me just get the whipped cream out of my nightstand.

[She moves over like she really is, but then stops.]

No, I don't. It's a joke, see...

[ Super funny! Oh wait, speaking of super, this doesn't have to be an unfortunate mishap. Stephanie's got to find out at some point.

So Lana will set the thermos down on the desk and speed off (woosh!), and then back, holding both a can of whipped cream and a bag of marshmallows., with two mugs dangling off her fingers. ]

No problem. Better safe than sorry.

[Stephanie stares.

And stares some more.

Um.]

You... didn't always do that, right?

Not always, no.

[ She sits back on the edge of the bed to unload the items, handing one mug to Stephanie so she can hold it while Lana pours in the cocoa, then pours herself some. ]

But remember, I went home.
