 [Will is laughing as he turns around in circles in the courtyard and watches the snow come down.  Eventually he pulls out his journal and opens it long enough to share the good news, just in case someone in the castle hadn't noticed yet.]

It's snowing!  Isn't it marvelous?  This is exactly what I wanted for my birthday.

...Does anyone want to go sledding?

It's wonderful! I've always wished for snow for my birthday, but most years there is only a dusting.

I, personally, don't see anything good or exciting about this weather. Why the hell would you want snow for your birthday? If I wanted to be this fucking cold, I'd step in a freezer.

I guess I've always thought there was something very special about snow. I like the way that it lies over everything and makes the whole world look like something fresh and new.

You go sledding by riding a board of some kind down a snow covered hill.

It really is! If you find the right spot you can get up to some very fast speeds.

I can imagine. Though if you wanted to go again, walking back up must be tiring.

I am from a small village in Britain. [Will repeats himself carefully.] I have never been to America, and all I really know about is what Uncle Bill said in his letters. But that was mostly about the pottery business in Ohio.

I think it's good myself- mostly because I have struggled with trying to find what my purpose is before. Where I belong. What I'm meant to be doing.

Something like that. I remember what my purpose is, but I cannot feel it anymore. And when I returned here, it also took away my ability to stay alone for long.
