Welcome to the coolest hotel this side of the continent!

But wait, you woke up in your own bed. It's colder--a lot colder--but isn't this still Paradisa?

At 11am, things around the castle seem very different. For one, everything has been turned to ice. Appliances, furniture... it looks like Jack Frost was working overtime the past few days.

The ghosts are nowhere to be found. In their place, dozens of busy, bustling penguins in maid and bellhop uniforms are scurrying about to keep their castle-turned-ice hotel in tip top shape. They'll be more than happy to fill anyone's needs.

Keeping everything running smoothly is a large, dignified polar bear in a nice suit. He'll be your hotel management this week, just in case the penguins get a little out of order.

Sure it's a little cold, much like everything else in the hotel, but that's just part of the charm.

(OOC: Use this as a catch-all post for all your plot-flavored reactions! You're more than welcome to make your own sub-threads as well for different parts of the castle. The icy effect stretches for miles past the town, and snow continues on just past the Dead Zone.

Feel free to give any of the rooms, businesses or houses the same icy touch that the castle has given itself!)

[Allow one of the many bellhops to tend to your luggage! No, really, they insist! Oh, you don't have any? Well, they know that you want to mingle with others and enjoy your stay, but if you need them they are at your command!]

COMMON AREA

[The ballroom has been turned into a common area and is open for all to sit around on their finely carved ice sofas and chairs, each decked out with blankets and artificial furs for your comfort.

Music is playing from the live penguin band, and dancing might just be a nice way to warm up if you're feeling a bit chilly.]

OUTSIDE

[Stepping outside, the snow stretches for miles and miles, ideal for making snow angels, snow forts, snow men, and any other snowy activity.

The sky is also quite a sight to behold.]

[Rapunzel's awe of that aurora in the sky only lasts so long, because guess what? She's never been out in the snow before. When she saw the white fluff from her window, she decided to wish up a nice warm outfit, for the sake of time, and now she's out in the thick of it. She has no idea what one generally does in the snow, but so far, she's found rolling about in it while her hair tangles around her to be quite enjoyable.]

[Luke's bundled up in a thick coat and scarf, and wastes no time in diving into the snow. He starts making a snowball, getting ready to make his first snowman.]

[ Duke has settled on one of those couches, and anyone who wants to join him may have to take blankets from another one - he's bundled up in the ones already on this couch.

Although he's trying to decide if he'd warm up faster if he walked around the room in these blankets, but that might involve tripping or walking into things.

... But he's still cold, and it might be clear the way he occasionally just. Gives a great big shiver in his bundle. ]

[The Once-ler can amazingly be found outside. Not that he'll remain here long, but for now, he's taking in his surroundings, the sky, for sure, but more importantly the snow.

It's been a few years since he saw it, and he knows it will be decades before he sees it again back home. He pauses in his walking to crouch down to pick some up, letting the particles sift through his fingers.

Wow. He hadn't realised how much he'd MISSED snow]

[Ok... now this place is reminding him of Sidewinder. Guess it's back to bitching about the cold. Still, he'd rather bitch about the cold than those nutcrackers, so win I guess.?.]

[Luke is rolling a very large snowball right past him, towards an even bigger snowball that's about the size of Luke. He tries pushing the snowball he's rolling on top of the bigger one before realizing he's made it too heavy.]

[He's only seen Once-ler in person one time, so he doesn't quite recognize him yet.]
