[It started out like any other day; Adachi sure didn't feel any different at least. The holiday meant nothing to him so he didn't bother doing anything about it. In fact, tonight was just going to be instant noodles like always.]
Ha, if Dojima-san saw me right now he'd probably be super annoyed and drag me to his place for take out. [he mused out loud to himself as he got his chopsticks ready, remembering the way his partner hated the sound of him slurping noodles every day.

The sudden realization of what he just said dawned on him a few seconds after the fact, and his chopsticks fell from his fingers.
