Wonderland: Day One

[wonderlandian]

The residents of Paradisa who ventured into the lobby on the 13th would find something new there; a mirror spanning an entire wall. Given recent happenings, who can blame them if they're cautious? Trouble is, this mirror seems to really want to bring people in, because you don't have to get too close before you're through the looking glass.

Once you've gone, you may find that you're not quite yourself.

[Notes/Reminders: Type 1 and Type 2 characters will believe they are Wonderland natives. All characters, including those not entering Wonderland, will be able to use their journals; Wonderland "natives" will think it is a communication device exclusive to Wonderland, although communication between Paradisa and Wonderland through the journals is absolutely possible. [Holy crap she just disappeared! He takes a few steps forward and reaches out to where she disappeared and- pop! Away he goes!]

[Not that he'd mind, his fur is nice and thick, just right for the purpose, really. He chuckles at that]

Deer would be lost in our dust.

[And off he races, not at his top speed, but certainly faster than anything else around]

I can see that. [She smiles at him, and then looks around.] I know we are in a hedge maze and it must go somewhere. I suppose if it allows me I could fly over the hedges...

[He'll roll his eyes.] I'm almost preferring that annoying little idol girl over this fairy.

[Purposely tacking on 'annoying' to see if it gets a reaction, of course. He'll narrow an eye then.]

If you're so bent on making me believe yet another ridiculous story - which I won't even question how you became a fairy now - then how about you tell me where I am and how I got here?

The Flowers

[In a patch of large and beautifully blooming flowers, you might hear voices. Near the edge of a nearby lake there is a patch of the most beautiful and massive waterlilies, one of which may sound oddly familiar. Feel free to stop by and admire them. You may be in for a surprise.]

[Not too far from the sphinx is what appears to be some bizarre combination of an exceedingly large shaggy dog of an rather unusual color - dogs aren't usually suppose to have a deep greenish tint towards the ends of their fur after all - and a person. The man (or would beast be a more proper term?) appears almost entirely unconcerned with anything aside from sunning himself. Nobody nearby is about to die, so not much point in getting up, right?

Closer inspection will reveal that this dog-human is actually Dhaos, turned into a sort of fairy.]

[And then the ears fall back again as he looks away nervously.]

Oh, but... where did you say you came from? Paradisa, was it? Hmm... Might that be another name for the land ruled under the King of Spades? ... or Clubs, perhaps? Diamonds?

Just going to spread his wings a little for better sunning as he remains sprawled out.

[He casually brushes a few leaves off of his suit when he's done, shoving the pile of hedge costume away as he takes out his hat and sticks it on over his crazy hair, Leon soon sitting back on it as normal.] I could walk on the hedges, see where the exit is, if it won't allow you to fly.

[Because flying people are totally normal, okay?]

Yes, Paradisa. And we're not ruled by any king or queen.

Exactly! They're all perfect leaves in every way, thanks to me and the other fairies.

[Her pride gives way to confusion at the mention of this idol girl. Or was that "idle girl"? Whatever. Her level of activity notwithstanding, she obviously has nothing to do with Rise herself.]

"Became" a fairy? Was I something else before I was born?

[It's an intriguing question, but she's been given another question to answer by this strange man. And it would be rude of her to ignore him.]

You're in the Queen's courtyard, of course! Didn't you come in through the entrance like everyone else?

No queen or king? Must be why it's called Paradisa, then.

Well, I may in fact be able to get us out of this maze, but I cannot promise you much in the way of returning you to your home.

[...Okay he'll let go of his hand, but then he scrambles up to his head, hedge costume and all still on. Have fun with that bit, Tsuna.]

[ He continues on his way. ]

[ Her grip tightens before she gets used to the differences between him and a horse. She grins into the wind. ]

[He'll watch Tsuna go, making a mental note to try and make sure he doesn't um...die]

[Oh great. What were people going to think when they ran into him? But he supposed that wasn't too important right now. He gives a sigh of relief and gingerly massages his arm.]

[ There's another pause, one last study of this other him before he allows himself to look away, attention shifting back towards the gardens. ] Are we still in Paradisa?
