oh yes there are tons of shenanigans at work here
cair paradisa can pluck its victims from vastly disparate points in space and time
so its commonplace to run into people from different points in the timeline
as well as from different universes or alternate versions of the same universe
im pretty sure there are multiple iterations of earth for instance
