2nd Gear [Dictated]

Does anyone know where I can find gears or metal? Or things like a hammer?

[Hugo's taken what he had from his pockets and set them across his desk as he writes but it's not nearly enough to make anything.

After a moment a few vague sketches of gears in a mechanism appear beneath his writing as well as scribbles of small numbers.]

Someone might sell them in town, if you don't want to wish them up. Or I could probably use magic to form some out of unshaped metal fairly easily.

There's a store in town, it's a great place for things like that. [Says he who when not in a loss-induced state just finds someone else to get such things]

Or there's wishing, I guess. If that's your thing.

Oh, that should be simple enough. A very fine destination for clockwork mechanisms is my dear friend Violet Baudelaire's workshop, in the village.

I dunno, maybe further in? They've always had what I needed.

Among several other things! She is, first and foremost, an inventor and engineer. She knows the inner workings of myriad machines.
