[OOC note: Time to do what I've been threatening to do since I joined the game- to celebrate Jennifer being here for 6 months, she is now on a temporary loss as an adorable box turtle. :'D She will be changing back in time for the Valentine's event, however.

Well, shit. She goes to the Dead Zone and comes back to one of her friends as a turtle. This is great.]

[he's flipping frantically through his commonplace notebook, trying to find the floor map he copied off CastleNet one of the times Jane was kind enough to let him borrow her laptop]

[There's a smear of ink across the page in response. Also, the loud sniffing of a dog. Oops, looks like Blue has come over to investigate.]

[And Carson doesn't bother to respond, heading straight to Jennifer's room.

He remembers when he had to spend a few weeks as a Totodile. This wasn't good.

When Lemony appears, he'll see one Scottish gentleman in a white labcoat knocking on the door.]

Jennifer? It's Carson. I... I'm coming in, okay?

[She might be a bloody turtle, but Carson's nothing if polite.]

[And when Mal gets to the door she stops because oh yeah, no invite]

...This would be a really good time to...you know, be able to speak and invite me in.

[The door is open a crack, but alas, all Mal will see when she peers in is a curious sheepdog wagging his tail at her and a turtle in a pile of ink-stained clothing.]

[Mal crouches a little]

So...hey, can you crawl this way?

[Lemony steps up behind him] Sir? May I come in with you? I'm a friend of hers, and ... well.

I'd like to make sure she's well.

[That she can do. Jennifer shuffles toward the door as fast as her stubby little legs can carry her. Oh, that ink was going to make a hell of a mess, but there's nothing she can do about that now.

Once she's out the door, she peers up at her friend, wishing she COULD talk. Her mind seems to be perfectly intact.]

[There's some barking in response, before Blue catches Carson's familiar scent and goes to meet him, wagging his tail. There's spilt ink all over the floor of Jennifer's room, including the clothing that had been left in a pile when she'd suddenly transformed.]

[And once Jennifer is across the threshold, Mal carefully picks her up, rising to her feet properly again]

Well. This is a bugger of a loss.

I'll be there in a few minutes, okay? Just... uh... well asking you to sit tight is kind of ridiculous at this point, isn't it... [sigh]

yeah. I'll be right there. [She shuts the journal and heads out to her room, knocking once before trying the door to see if it's unlocked.]

[Jennifer actually nods her little head in response. She tries to open her mouth to speak, but of course no sound comes out. So instead she withdraws her head inside her shell and back out, as if to say "yup, it sucks."]

[At the sound of knocking, Blue begins to bark, startling Jennifer and making her knock over the pot of ink she'd been attempting to write with. Oops. But Phoebe will find the door unlocked, and Blue coming to meet her once he recognizes her.]

[Well. What do you even do with a turtle]

Is there anyone I can take you to?

[kungfuwitch]

[Phoebe puts her hand down to let Blue sniff before giving him some scratches behind the ear to stop his barking]

Hey, Blue. Where's Jennifer, huh?

[She looks around for a moment before spotting the turtle. Her eyes widen and she walks over]

Oh. Oh man. Hi.

[Carson looks back to Lemony and nods.]

Aye. Of course.

[And, with that, he's opening the door to the room and eyeing the mess.]

[Eventually, he is there. He wants to see if she's actually a turtle or if she's trolling everyone. He knocks on the door before opening it a tiny bit, peering in.]

Helloooo? Someone order turtle soup?
