 [Will didn't understand anything of what was happening.  He'd just been walking with James to get hay for the rabbits.  How could he have ended up in a place like this?  It looked like a castle out of a story or an old drawing.  He'd never been anywhere that looked like this before.

The boy hastily stands up and picks up the small journal book that had been lying beside him.  He tucks it under his arm, not notiving it was partially open.  And the he starts slowly making his way down the hallway, calling out for his brothers and sisters as he goes.]

Hello! Is anyone here?  James?  Paul?  Robin?  Mary?  Anyone?

[ Duke hadn't really been paying too much attention to where his roommate had gotten off to, but he wasn't really familiar with the name. ]

I am, unfortunately, of a city.

I'm sorry, but I really don't recognize your voice at all.

Zaphias, actually. I am not of the world called 'Earth'.

I figure it must be this bloody castle making trouble again.

Do you remember anything about this place?

...Sorry? I don't think I understand. Do you mean you're an alien?

This castle? No, I really don't understand how I could be in a place like this. There aren't any castles like this near home. And the last thing I remember was going to get fresh hay for the rabbits with my brother.

... If 'alien' means one that is not of the same world, then there are a great deal about. I am human, simply not a human of your world.

Right. [Missing out on a lot, then. More importantly, he's missing out on the horrible and depressing stuff] ...Probably for the best.

I didn't know that was possible.

I am likely not the only one here not of your world. There may be others that are of similar places, but with vast differences in time, or perhaps events are different.

What a strange place. It sounds like something out of a story.

It was just an errand. [Although even with mundanity of the chore Will remembered the feeling of unease he'd had the whole day. The static on the radio when he walked by it, the way the dogs and the rabbits had been frightened of him...]
