HEY! How is that happening? What kind of joke is this?

[There’s a long pause before the words write themselves again.]

“Paradisa,” huh? I flip through this stupid book and not only do people have no clue how they got here, they think it’s magic? Give me a break. It looks like a bunch of little kids got together and wrote in this stupid thing.

Ok, there has to be some kind of explanation for this, right? [That’s right. Ed’s talking his way through this mess.]

Let’s see, one moment, I’m sleeping at Granny’s place, and the next I wake up in some huge library with this…thing that somehow writes whatever I say. Looks like I don’t have a choice but to look for the guys who wrote in the other pages…

Well, I'm sure you've deduced the "you're in a strange castle with a talking journal" part. Not sure how much more I can explain except for the part where we can't escape.

Nobody here knows- the excuse I've heard is that the Castle itself doesn't want us to leave. I just assume it's magic. Wizard did it.

You too, huh? It's like everyone here believes that this castle has some mind of its own. Wouldn't it make more sense if there was a group of people behind all this stuff?

A shadowy group pushing all the buttons and making all the decisions behind the scenes? I'd believe it. There are plenty of people who are just twisted enough to like the idea of a human puppet show.
