HEY! How is that happening? What kind of joke is this?

[There’s a long pause before the words write themselves again.]

“Paradisa,” huh? I flip through this stupid book and not only do people have no clue how they got here, they think it’s magic? Give me a break. It looks like a bunch of little kids got together and wrote in this stupid thing.

Ok, there has to be some kind of explanation for this, right? [That’s right. Ed’s talking his way through this mess.]

Let’s see, one moment, I’m sleeping at Granny’s place, and the next I wake up in some huge library with this…thing that somehow writes whatever I say. Looks like I don’t have a choice but to look for the guys who wrote in the other pages…

"Magic" is the best way most of us can describe what happens. If you wish to call it something else, that's your choice as well.

I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said that. "Magic" might not be the most easy to believe thing in the world, but in the absence of a better explanation, that's the best we've got.

By the way, some of us are kids, but that doesn't mean that we're stupid or uniformed.

The original writers might be hard to come by, if indeed there was someone to write at all. But many of the pages - recent ones - are from the residents now. You do not have to look to very far except through the halls to find us.
