028 Summons ❈ Dictated ❈ Backdated to the Morning of July 3rd

[Good morning, fellow Paradisans! This morning, you will be treated to several questioning sounds along with many "huhs?" and "whats?" as Sheena looks through the journal while sitting on her bed. Both of which increasing in number and slightly in volume until she finally starts speaking in complete sentences.

Slightly confused, but complete sentences.]

Uh, is everyone all right? I mean, did anything weird happen last night?

[She's under the impression some suffered a strange loss making them think it was different days--while others slept through the night. Still, just to be sure...]

And this is gonna sound like a strange question, but could someone tell me what the date is?

[ooc: Apologies for the delay in posting (RL kicked my butt!), but here she is, waking up on July 3ed and thinking it's June 1st--as well that the castle suffered some strange loss over the past several hours! She has no clue she had been a Daruma Doll, so if anyone wants to tell her--go for it!]

[He'll hear the flipping of several pages as she goes back several days. Deep down, she knows he wouldn't lie, but what he's telling her doesn't match what she knows...]

Once-ler, [She takes a deep, fortifying breath and lets it out before continuing/]

What if I told you today is the first of June?

...I'd ask if you were in a coma.

Some guy was asking for you, saying you'd gone missing. [Just gonna put that one out there]

[Okay! That sets the brain working. Could she have been asleep that long? She wouldn't put it past the castle, but she doesn't remember any dreams...

...Huh? What? Her brain switches gears at his next comment, making her even more confused.]

But I haven't gone missing! [As far as she knows. Still, she doesn't think Once-ler would lie about that, however, he knows Zelos and Lloyd would more than likely say who he is, but they live here... So, who? She wracks her brain for a moment. Oh!]

Was it Danny? You know, the one we put in your wagon coming back from Lastlook last year when he got hurt?

[Her tone is actually one of concern because she needs to check up on her "little brother."]

Well, they looked for you and you weren't there, so unless they were lying, looks like you were.

The kid? No, it was an adult.

Is it possible they tried when I wasn't in?

[Totally ignoring the whole "message by journal" thing.]

An adult? [She's trying to think who else it might have been.] Spike?

I don't know, you'd have to ask them, I haven't exactly kept tabs.

[She pauses, and a light tapping can be heard as she taps her finger in thought, and finally says the one name she's got left.]

Doctor Muraki?

[Said with total doubt and surprise that it'd be him, but he's her last guess (unless she thinks of more).]

[He snaps his fingers]

YEAH! That's the name.

[She flinches at the unexpected sound, and stares at his response, bemused.]

Doctor Muraki? I wonder why he'd be looking for me?

[But at the mention of "doctor", another question comes out.]

Speaking of doctors... How's your leg, Once-ler?

I don't know. [A pause] Who is he? No offence but he came off as kinda...creepy.

It's fine now, all healed up. I'm hobble-free once more.

Muraki? He's the doctor who helped me during that earthquake a few months back. [Time for a pause from her.] He was creepy? How? [She's not defensive; merely curious.]

Well, that's good! By the way, did you ever come up with something while you were resting? [There's a bit of excited delight in her tone, since she does like what he comes up with. Like his cottage.]

It was just the way he spoke, y'know? Gave off creepy vibes. I'm not one to judge who you choose to hang out with so there you go.

I've been working on some building projects I promised other residents at the moment, really.

Yeaaah. That takes a little getting used to. [She just chalks it up to his education and profession because doctors really can't panic, right?]

Building projects? To replace some of the ones the 'quake got? I can't wait to see them when they're built.

Nah, these are new builds. An orphanage and a family home.

An orphanage? There are children who need to be adopted here?

[Her tone is best described as confused with a note of wanting to help mixed in.]

Yeah. Queen Anne is commissioning one, apparently there are a few orphanages in the town. It makes sense, if you think about it. Disasters hit the city sometimes, too, there'd be parents who'd die.

Queen Anne? I don't think I've met her. [She has, she just hasn't realized it yet.]

But, that's a really nice thing for her to do. [She doubts "guests" can adopt, but...]

Do you know if they need volunteers?

No? She's around a lot, you can't miss her. And yeah, she's all about helping the people, you know? She's a good ruler.

Probably. You could always ask her.

Yeah, I don't think I have. [She's sounding thoughtful right now.] The only Anne I've met is the one who threw that party on May Day. [They danced; she had fun. :)]

But, I'll look for her... I'm not too sure about just contacting her out of the blue over the journal, since I'm a stranger. If she says yes, maybe I can show them that dance I learned.

[Is it evident she wants to really be with the kids?]

That's her! The party was her thing.

[There's a slight pause here, before gently] I never knew you liked kids so much.

That was her?! I danced with a queen?! [Retro embarrassment in full swing here.] I had no idea! [There's a silence on her end as she digests this. Wow. So not what she had expected.

Her tone, when she replies, shows no embarrassment, only gentle happiness.]

Yeah! I do. I really enjoy playing with them--like hide-n-seek!

You did, and now you know. FYI, she likes being called your highness. [Not that he ever does, but details]
