13th Perscription ~ [Action/Written/Dictated]
[Carson is sat in the lobby of the castle, tapping his pen lightly against his leg as he stares off to a distance before starting to scribble in some filters.
Those that have seen Carson's notebook have probably noticed that the handwriting is pretty messy. This isn't the case this time. Seems the good doctor has decent penmanship when not frantically translating dead languages.]

Daniel Jackson
I was wondering if, when you've got enough free time, you could give my notes a quick look-over. Mostly to help with the translation. Since you're the foremost expert in Alteran, I would appreciate the help.
---
SGC Filter
Sorry for not checking in before, but is everyone alright? After the whole bloody space lobster thing, I thought I'd make sure
---
Rue
I'm thinking of removing your stitches sometime today or tomorrow. Whichever you're more comfortable with.
---
Panem filter
You probably don't know me, but my name is Dr. Carson Beckett. I've been in charge of making sure that Rue heals up well. I'm preparing to take the stitches out in the next couple of days, but I'll need someone to keep an eye on her, make sure the wound doesn't open back up. It'll just be for a few days.
---
Peeta Mellark
How's the hand healing?
---
Helen Magnus
I'm asking Dr. Jackson to see if he can go over my notes from the previous incident. I know I gave you a rough translation as I went, but I'd like to make sure this is documented in case it ever happens again. You'll be the first to get a copy.
I'd also like to ask if it's okay to take a little holiday. Once I've removed Rue's stitches, I'd like to go out into the City Royale for a couple of weeks. I'll still come back if there's a major emergency, so just let me know if that's okay.
---
Connor and Murphy.
I just thought I'd let you know that the little girl Murphy helped me with, Rue, is healing up nicely.
And I'm sorry for not checking in before. Are you two alright?
Also, since you two are in the city, is there anywhere nice that would make a decent holiday spot? I need a break from the castle, if Dr. Magnus allows me.
---
[Carson takes a break at writing those filters, sighing and leaning back in the sofa to rest his hand.]
I've got to bloody say. This castle takes it out of you at times...

I've got to bloody say. This castle takes it out of you at times...

Daniel
...I'm normally okay with the basic translation I can do, but I'd like to write up the notes on the last incident as best I can.
carson;
Alright, I'll translate them.

Daniel
I'll be in the lobby.

He hadn't really had the time to inspect the castle's design, too busy raiding the library and planning impromptu camping trips. ]

Dr. Jackson, over here.
[The book Carson was reading was written in Scottish Gaelic, and seems to be a translation of Shakespeare's Macbeth.]
no subject
Hi.
[ And he'll make his way over, with a quick smile. ]
no subject
[He looks around.] It's no Atlantis, though. How're you adjusting?
no subject
Well, well. The lack of impending doom is a little unnerving, but that's about it.
no subject
I find it more unnerving when I think about what this place might do next. We've had space lobsters, a day where the sun didn't rise, we got sent to Paris, and a day when the lobby turned into a classic portrait.
[A pause.] And I got turned into a wee blue crocodile for a week.

So! Those notes?
no subject
[He turns back to the sofa, picking up his notebook.]
I wanted to bite everything.
[Carson holds out the notebook. The first page is covered in neat Alteran script. The English translation is a bit more messy.]
Thank you for doing this, doctor. I appreciate it.
no subject
[ He's practically lost in the page the second he gets it, skimming through the Ancient script and the translations. ]
Why are you writing your notes down in Anicent, if you don't mind my asking?
no subject
no subject
Do you have a pen?
no subject
[He takes the pen from his breast pocket, handing it over.]
no subject
[ He takes a hold of it without looking up and starts scribbling, translation the notes with ease people would expect from him. ]

There, all done.
no subject
Thank you so much, doctor. This'll make things a lot easier. [A pause.] Sorry to bother you with this, though.
no subject
If you ever need anymore translated just send them up to my room.
no subject
[He looks around the lobby.]
So, how are you settling in?
