[Breakfast with the family is a great way to start out the morning, right? But with a reunion this big, tables outside is the only way it's really going to work. Resort workers are standing over tables spread out with heated trays of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, French toast, and biscuits and gravy. There are more tables with plates arranged with sliced pieces of fruit. There's another long table devoted entirely to different kinds of cereal, with gallons and gallons of milk to pour over it. And of course there are dozens of round tables set up where people can actually sit and eat with each other before really starting out their day -

There's also the grassy lawn facing the lake where those who would rather can take their plates and sit in a slightly more informal setting.

This is a chance to hang out with some of the family that isn't so closely related to you! Enjoy that.]

[Takato is sitting at a table with a plate piled high with waffles and fruit, but he isn't paying any attention to that. Instead he has a notebook out on the table that he is intently drawing in.]

[Sidling over to peer over his shoulder]

Whatcha drawing?

[He jumps a little in surprise, but manages to catch himself before he falls over.]

Some of the people I know. [He smiles sheepishly.] I know I'm not very good, but it's fun to draw.

[waving the self deprecation off,] Can I see?

Sure, if you want to. [He holds out the notebook for her.]

[She slides the notebook carefully into her own lap and starts paging through it. How are those drawings, anyhow?]

[The notebook is filled with childish sketches in crayon and colored pencil of different people in Takato's family.]

[She riffles through the pages, grinning - when she gets to the next blank page, she reaches over and ruffles Takato's hair friendly-like.]

You should draw me! If you want to!

[He ducks his head away from her hand, with a pleased smile on his face.]

Are you sure? I mean, I would like to.

[payback]

[Lets him go and moving away a little so she can sit.. for her portrait ehehe]

Yeah! Go for it. [Pause.] Who're you related to, by the way?

[biggestdreamer]

My Dad's name is Flynn. Oh, and I'm Takato.

[He cheerfully reaches for a crayon and starts sketching.]

[Kat would recognize Guilmon's friend anywhere, and pauses after she finishes her breakfast, a giant textbook tucked under her arm.]

Good morning, Takato. Are you enjoying yourself so far?

[He looks up and gives her a cheerful smile.]

I am! It's lots of fun meeting all the different people here.

Amazing to think everyone's somehow connected, isn't it?

It really is. I had no idea this family was so large.

No, and as hard as I may try I doubt I will; there's a lot of people here! How about you? Have you made any new friends?
