[It's the end of a long week filled with family, and one more night of eating too much and tolerating people you're probably sick of. The food tonight features grilled chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and ice cream for dessert.

Of course, one last night of family isn't complete without photos of the gang and some dumb games to cap the week off. Here we go again:]

[ It's a beautiful day, and what better way to spend it than celebrating GLaDOS and Wheatley's marriage?

Well, there are probably other ways. But regardless, there has been a small celebration set up for their vow renewal ceremony. There's a lot of folding chairs set up everywhere so there's (comfortable?) seating for a good amount of people. There are also some tables hanging around, with a decent spread of food, mostly borrowed from the resort's awesome food supply.

Everything's outside, so there's lots of room! Feel free to mill about. Watch the vows being renewed, eat some food, talk to the happy married couple or even dance (there are some sweet classical and generally calm tunes playing, though, so if anything, there won't be a lot of fist-pumping going on)... go ahead and walk by without a care, too. GLaDOS might appreciate the lack of a crowd. ]

[It's easy to forget about, since it's a bit offset from the resort proper... however! The town still exists, and on some days, things even happen there. It might make a nice respite from lounging around getting in touch with nature via the lake, and the leeches, and the ticks at the resort

[Daytime was when GlaDOS and Wheatley finally came around, rowing to shore and crawling off of the boat that they had left themselves to float in through the night. Drowsily, Wheatley would help his spouse up and out, the two of them looking like a proper trainwreck...

[ Well, Ashura had promised his mother that he would perform for her, give her a sneak peek of sorts. And it would be rude of him not to keep a promise to his own mother. Of course, everyone knew what happened when you didn't keep your word to Amaterasu, so yes, best to swallow whatever it was she wanted you to do and just do it.

So he told his mother where to meet and drag whatever family members she wanted along and found himself a nice clear spot. He was dressed in black pants, but no top, as per his costume. His hair was up high in a messy bun and he'd put in a few red feathers for show. He warmed up for a good five minutes and then took up position to start.]

Well, this is a piece from my company's upcoming production of The Firebird. I play the Firebird, so, I hope you enjoy.

[The dance itself was a mix of contemporary and jazz. While he was classically trained, to be a competent dancer in more modern companies one had to know several disciplines. Oh, and yes, there was a mini stereo with an ipod running on batteries near by, playing his music as he went through the piece, treating it like a real performance on a real stage.

And oh did it feel good.]

[ooc: the dance is from the 'hummingbird' routine from So You Think You Can Dance season 3, and the music in the background is the Chairman's Dance from Memoirs of a Geisha. Look to the male (Hok) for an idea of how Ashura is dancing]

[Perhaps it's the hand of providence. Perhaps it's the unseen, unknown yet still present hand of an omniscient magical castle. Perhaps someone had a surplus left over from July 4th...

Whatever the reason, it seems like resort employees are compelled to deliver boxes of fireworks around for the enjoyment of families currently staying at the resort. For families to shoot off themselves! What could possibly be more fun than that? There are sparklers and rockets and pretty much anything fireworks-ey you can imagine, for the whole family to enjoy. For EVERYONE in the whole family to enjoy.

Do try not to burn down your cabin, as you'll be paying for it if you do! Aim rockets to go out over the lake. Otherwise, enjoy.]

[Breakfast with the family is a great way to start out the morning, right? But with a reunion this big, tables outside is the only way it's really going to work. Resort workers are standing over tables spread out with heated trays of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, French toast, and biscuits and gravy. There are more tables with plates arranged with sliced pieces of fruit. There's another long table devoted entirely to different kinds of cereal, with gallons and gallons of milk to pour over it. And of course there are dozens of round tables set up where people can actually sit and eat with each other before really starting out their day -

There's also the grassy lawn facing the lake where those who would rather can take their plates and sit in a slightly more informal setting.

This is a chance to hang out with some of the family that isn't so closely related to you! Enjoy that.]

[It's a beautiful morning, shaping up to be a hot and humid day, as so many summer days at the Blind Buffalo Resort are. The piles and piles of people arriving in their cars to check in at the modest front office make it a noisy morning too, full of chatter and greetings from those who have long been apart. There isn't enough room in the office for everyone, so there's spillover of the crowd to outside, and a noise crowd jammed inside the room.
