[For a little while, now, Brook has been traversing the halls of the castle, having just found himself suddenly in a bedroom that, while comfortable enough, isn't a place he's ever seen before. The journal he's now carrying has offered a few insights, but overall, he's still feeling more than a little shocked by the unexpected change.
Not that he's new to finding himself in bizarre locations, but it isn't exactly easy to deal with, regardless.
After a while, he makes it to the lobby, where he calmly places the journal (open) on the floor nearby, and tips over, leaning with his forehead against the wall, his body at a sharp angle to said wall.
This is what Brook does when he's alone.
Having figured at least that the journal is some kind of communication device, he talks in its general direction.]
Excuse me, but I'm supposed to be giving a concert very soon, and I need to find my way back to the venue. Does anyone have any useful information?
[Should anyone wander into the lobby, they'll find him leaning there, apparently deep in thought.]
((ooc: Action or journals! Come bother the giant skeleton.))

--You gotta be kidding.
[Sorry. He doesn't take to strange sights well.]
no subject
When he does, he waves.]
Hello! Sir!
no subject
He's in the middle of a freakin' castle covered in freakin' green goop and there's a freakin' skeleton waving at him.
Madre de Dios.]
Why the hell are you dressed up like that?
no subject
[The boa and the crown and whatnot, anyway. The skeletonness is normal.]
no subject
But in the meantime--]
But you're a damn skeleton! You're dead!
[Rictor's powers of observation are clearly the most impressive. And potentially incorrect.]
no subject
[He takes off his crown and bows gracefully.]
And I have been for fifty years!
no subject
....Are you some kind of mutant or something?
no subject
[He says this plainly, as though it should fully explain everything.]
no subject
[No, seriously, is it?]
no subject
[This is a completely innocent question.]
no subject
You know what? Never mind.
[Why is he even weirded out by this? He's fought Death, traveled in space by vibrating log....a skeleton is nothing.
And there's the fact that he still needs a shower.]
Look, I don't give a crap what you eat or do in your free time, I just wanna know if there's a free shower around here. Or tub.
no subject
[But he pauses, considering the question.]
Ah! There was a small restroom in the room I first found myself in.
no subject
[Please say yes.]
no subject
[He holds up his journal.]
It shouldn't be too difficult to find it once again.
no subject
What's the number?
sorry I don't know his room number yet ;;
It corresponded to the floor on which the room was located, I noticed.
aha, no worries! xD <3
Got it. Thanks. [And back on the move he goes! But not before pausing and looking back at the ever-so-helpful skeleton.]
....What's your name again? Do you even have a name?
no subject
[And he scurries forward, to follow Rictor. Whoops, guess you have a skeleton tagalong.]
My name is Brook. And yours?
no subject
[Stops and stares because.]
So does that make you a girl skeleton?
no subject
[Sorry, Rictor. In the Grand Line, "Brook" is a perfectly legitimate name for a boy skeleton.]
no subject
'Cause usually Brook is a girl's name.
[Though, really, he probably should have been able to tell by the voice. And the clothes. But....hey, crossdressing skeletons could totally be a thing?]
....Actually, are there even girl skeletons where you come from?
no subject
[A pause to consider the question.]
Hm... I'm the only living skeleton there, that I know of, too. But I suppose women have "girl skeletons"! Yohohoho!
no subject
Please don't mind the extra staring Brook gets for that laugh. (Chuckle?)]
How come you're living anyway? What makes you so special?
no subject

Are those things common where you come from?
