[For a little while, now, Brook has been traversing the halls of the castle, having just found himself suddenly in a bedroom that, while comfortable enough, isn't a place he's ever seen before. The journal he's now carrying has offered a few insights, but overall, he's still feeling more than a little shocked by the unexpected change.
Not that he's new to finding himself in bizarre locations, but it isn't exactly easy to deal with, regardless.
After a while, he makes it to the lobby, where he calmly places the journal (open) on the floor nearby, and tips over, leaning with his forehead against the wall, his body at a sharp angle to said wall.
This is what Brook does when he's alone.
Having figured at least that the journal is some kind of communication device, he talks in its general direction.]
Excuse me, but I'm supposed to be giving a concert very soon, and I need to find my way back to the venue. Does anyone have any useful information?
[Should anyone wander into the lobby, they'll find him leaning there, apparently deep in thought.]
((ooc: Action or journals! Come bother the giant skeleton.))

[Stops and stares because.]
So does that make you a girl skeleton?
no subject
[Sorry, Rictor. In the Grand Line, "Brook" is a perfectly legitimate name for a boy skeleton.]
no subject
'Cause usually Brook is a girl's name.
[Though, really, he probably should have been able to tell by the voice. And the clothes. But....hey, crossdressing skeletons could totally be a thing?]
....Actually, are there even girl skeletons where you come from?
no subject
[A pause to consider the question.]
Hm... I'm the only living skeleton there, that I know of, too. But I suppose women have "girl skeletons"! Yohohoho!

Please don't mind the extra staring Brook gets for that laugh. (Chuckle?)]
How come you're living anyway? What makes you so special?

Are those things common where you come from?

So there’s only one of each fruit? Or the fruits change their effects after you eat them?
no subject
[He's so proud of you for getting it. Kind of.]
no subject
What do all the other fruits do then?
no subject
My captain's, for example, gave him the ability to become rubber.
[This is all really quite normal, where he comes from....]
no subject
[Slowly:] ....Is he always rubber, or can he turn into rubber whenever he wants?

You ever tested how far he can stretch?
['Cause that would be funny.]

this is so late you don't have to tag it back
[That's a story he would actually pay money to hear.]
