I wasn’t expecting gifts but, I guess this place enjoys putting people in holiday moods. Valentine’s day isn’t really an international event so there are probably a few people out of the loop. But it is supposed to be some celebration of caring about people and it’s loosely tied to a few marytrs as I heard the stories.

[She chews a chocolate, it’s actually very good. The first one she had was a lovely chocolate mint, this one was strawberry. They were good but made her thirsty. Nat talked while she headed for the kitchen to get something to wash them down with. She carefully avoided the décor on her way, it was a bit too…over the top.]

I guess enjoy the sweets and sweetness if that’s what all this is about.

[Suddenly she really wanted to talk to Cap, it seemed important, she’d have to track him down maybe after she got a drink.]

I wasn't and that's the problem. The things I am capable of...that was about the least violating thing in my skill set. If others things were .. Nevermind, I'll deal with it.

If your other skills were used, it could be dangerous, is that what you meant to say? I can understand that.

That looks like heavy duty artillery there.

[He shifts it back into his hand right after she gets a look.]

Military prototype, that's basically what I was in my world.

[There was a lot more to it than that, but half the truth made for an easy cover story.]

I was something like that too, broken down and rebuilt in a way.

I may have had a similar experiance earlier. The effects were not nearly as drastic though.

Regardless my will was tampered with.
