I mean, talk about a horrible first impression. I have no idea why you're even talking to me. I wouldn't be surprised if half the people I met this past week go running the next time they see me.

Don't let your negativity eat at you. It's easier said than done, but letting it get to you isn't wise.

I'm sure they would understand that it wasn't your intent to scare them. They live in this castle, so they should know better that things like these happen. You could apologize to them and start over if you feel like you made a horrible first impression. If they don't want to give you another chance, then that is their loss.
