Sneaky, but I'll bite. I'm totally enraptured by this story and have to hear the rest of it.

Now, to find you... if I were Lucrezia Borgia, where would I be?

[ The sneakiest, but this time she can manage a giggle. ]

If I were Lucrezia Borgia, I would wait in my room to tell secret stories to a dear friend.

Oooh, good idea! I'll check there first.

And I might have a secret, too. One Lucrezia Borgia might like to hear.

[She gets up to go head over to her room.]

Ah, then you are fortunate. I heard she requires one secret for entry.

[ And she will leave her door ajar! ]

It's a good one, so it might buy me entry for a long time.

[She figures she'll be happier than Ezio, concerning recent developments. Once she reaches her door she knocks out of courtesy before entering.

She's smiling. A lot.]

Hi.

[ Lucrezia is certainly happier than she was the last time Steph saw her, hopping off her bed to greet her with a kiss on her cheek before taking her hand to lead her in. ]

Enough for an hour or two?

[Steph's happy to see that--she doesn't want to rub her good mood all over someone who's hurting. She kisses her cheek back, and lets herself be led.]

At the very least.

[ Lucrezia lets go of her hand only so she can drop herself back to laze on the bed. Three hours would be okay too. ]

My tale can wait. It seems your secret demands to be shared.

[She feels stupidly excited. That means this whole dating Tim thing isn't a totally terrible thing, right?]

Uh, well... [Steph plops herself next to Lucrezia. How to start...] Tim apparently had a few of those chocolates on Valentine's Day.

[ Lucrezia makes a displeased face at that, not something she would like to be reminded of. ]

So I heard... [ And experienced. ]

[Steph makes a face, too. But it's more at the memory of Tim being all... mushy. Not that she dislikes mush, it was just kinda scary when he puked up all his feelings at her and she was just there, in her PJs.]

He just sorta blurted out everything. How he felt.

[ She just stares at Steph for a moment, waitinf for her to explain because what does that really mean, blurting out feelings? ]

And he told you...?

A lot of things, but mostly that he's willing to give us a shot. And that if we spend too long trying to figure it out... we might regret it, if [he] one of us happens to leave. Couldn't really argue against that logic. We ended up going out on a date, which I probably should have declined since he was pretty heavily chocolate-influenced, but after talking to him the other day... he wasn't upset about it. He meant the things he said, and I had a good time. A really good time, actually.

So. [BREATH. She feels like she's blabbing. This is weird to talk about. It's probably good she hasn't had to explain to Ezio how this came to be.] We're dating. Again.

[ It does take her a while to process all of that, since it seems to her like Steph is beating around the bush to finally arrive to the point. She is hesitant, first. ]

So... you and Tim. He would be your boyfriend then?

[Where's the enthusiasm? One of her Renaissance buddies has to be thrilled that she's getting... well, not exactly ACTION, but SOMETHING.]

Yeah. He's... my boyfriend.

[She's been avoiding using that word, but even if they're trying to keep this to a casual dating thing, she knows that won't last. Boyfriend and girlfriend, again. It's difficult to keep things casual and unlabeled with so much history between them.]

[ But Steph hasn't mention anything about action, only icky feelings! Eventually she does sit up and laugh in glee. ]

Do my ears fool me or has the indomitable Stephanie met her match?

[That's better! Steph feels free to giggle, now.]

Do I have your blessing, then?

[ She giggles too, humming in thought. ]

That would depend on many things.

Like what? He looks good enough, doesn't he?

[ Lucrezia reaches a hand to brush any stray strands from Steph's face. ]

How happy does he make you?

[She smiles. Good question.]

Very happy. He's considerate, sweet... and really doesn't want this to end in a disaster like last time.

[Very happy until they start to argue about Ezio or Lucrezia. Sigh.]

[ She giggles, dropping back onto the bed to nudge Steph with her elbow. ]

And what else? [ Youknowwhatshemeans. ]

[Her cheeks might be a little pink as she laughs and looks away for a moment. OF COURSE.]

He's good at kissing. My lips keep going dry, if that tells you anything.

[So much kissing, but she's not complaining.]
