I thought I understood, but I guess I still needed a lesson. Maybe it's just been too long. I forgot. But I get it now.

This place... What's it really doing to us? All of these things that happen, the experiences we have, why bother? What's the point if not to help us grow and change? If it even means to help at all.

If we all stopped caring about everything here, this place would be even harder to deal with.

I wouldn't say it's harder, but it's no way to live anywhere. Even a place like this.

No arguments here. It's frustrating knowing we have all of these experiences and create all these memories, only to forget them whenever the castle gets rid of us.

I'm not so sure. We all believe that, but what if we do remember? A friend of mine who disappeared came back remembering this place. If there's even a chance of that...

[he will hop on the first plane to San Francisco and find Phoebe]

[That's...something to think about.] Did she remember this place while she was back home or just when she returned here?

He. And I'm not sure. He was living in Paris.

Ah, sorry. What's his name if you don't mind me asking? Is he still here?

Abel Nightroad. He left a while ago.

Ah, figures. How long have you been here for?

Three years so far.

That's as long as my [feels so weird to call her this out loud] girlfriend has been here. Do you know who Stephanie Brown is?

[spongetastic]

I don't think I've ever met her in person, but I've heard her name before.

[dorkwonder]

I'm kind of surprised. The castle a big place, but it's also small enough that I would have guessed anyone who has been around for as long as you two have, would have bumped into each other at some point.

[spongetastic]

It's possible we just keep missing each other. I work a lot, so there's that too.

[dorkwonder]

I know how that goes. Where do you work?

Caritas, that karaoke bar in town. A good friend of mine owned it.

[dorkwonder]

I haven't been there yet. Then again, my voice is terrible. I'd scare away all of your customers.

[spongetastic]

It's a nice place to hang out if you want to get away from the castle for a while.

[dorkwonder]

I like getting out of the castle whenever I can. The way it alters reality all the time...freaks me out, to be honest. I'll ask Steph if she wants to go there sometime in the next week or so.
