[He's been putting this off as long as he can for a lot of reasons. When Steve wakes up the morning back at the castle, heads back to the apartment where there's still no sign of Jo or the dogs, he knows he has to stop making excuses for how he keeps missing her. A quick check at the castle for a nameplate confirms what he already knows. She's gone. He has to deal with that.]

... Jo Harvelle's left the castle. If you know her, you know we're worse off without her. She was.. She is a great woman who cares about all of us. I feel really fortunate that I got a chance to know her. I'm sure you do too.

[There's a long pause.] I'm going to take care of the Gallery in her place. If you're involved in that, I'd appreciate it if you contact me and we'll work something out.

I noticed they're gone too so I thought I'd say something in case you're waiting to hear from them. ... I don't have as much to say about that as I'd like. We didn't know each other for very long, but they're good people. I hope they're happy together back at home.

Yeah, that might work. I can wear it out as far as the barrier, and we could maybe backpack it, or find something to carry it in the rest of the way. It's full-body armor, except for the head, so there's a lot to it.

Couldn't we use the transporter? It'll take anyone there in a second or so I've heard.

There's a transporter that goes out there? I didn't know that. That makes things a lot easier. I can just get the armor from the tower, and wear it to the outpost, and take it off and store it away there.

Yeah, I don't think they advertise it too much these days. It sounds like an easy fix then.

That makes sense I suppose. With those...other people that are supposed to be out there. It'd be dangerous if they knew there was such an easy way to get into the castle.

Anyway, I'll get that taken care of soon. The less time the armor has to sit where it shouldn't be, the better. I don't like wearing it, but it's really the easiest way to move it. Plus I can sorta practice keeping my powers in control while I've got it on.

I'm glad you'll be getting some practice in. [A beat.] You know I don't think I've introduced myself this whole time. [He laughs.] My name is Steve Rogers. It's nice to be speaking with you.

[Did...he just say...?]

You mean...the Steve Rogers? Captain America? I'm a really huge fan of yours, Mr. Rogers! It's a real honor!

[Full-on fanboy mode is GOOOOOOOOOOO]

[He's taken off guard. Steve honestly can't remember the last time he spoke with a fan.] I don't know the but, I am Captain America. What's your name, son?

Oh man, in my world everyone knows who you are! You're one of the first real superheroes! Any kid who'd ever read a newspaper or watched tv has wanted to be like you when they grew up!

That's... very flattering, Evan. [He chuckles shyly before something catches his attention.] Mutant?

It's just the truth. Pretty much every hero on Earth has you to thank for inspiring them!
