paradisa | [5] 23 Days Until Easter

[It's been a weird start of the month for Bunny. What with Holly Peaks, then getting not one, but TWO people from his home world, one of which he assumed was long gone. All in the space of a week. To make matters worse, the castle had decided to do this on the very month where Easter was held.

He could have sworn the place had done it on purpose.

As is normal for him, instead of facing any of the worry and heartache Katherine's arrival has brought him, he's thrown himself into his work. It needs to be done, anyway, and it means he doesn't have to deal with his own feelings on the matter. It's win-win, really.

And so, anyone out in the gardens today will find red tulip-like flowers sprouting everywhere, look closely enough and there's a slight glow to them. A few flowers are also blooming, revealing small white eggs on spindly legs within them. The googies, freshly brought into the world, are all heading over to where Bunnymund is sitting, pots of paint beside him as he goes through the labourous task of painting each googie, then sending them down inside the safety of his burrow. To await their big day.

Of course, to those who don't believe in the Easter Bunny, they don't see him. As he paints, his journal is open beside him, so he can listen to the casual chatter of the residents, a splatter of paint occasionally hitting the page and soaking into the paper as he works]

That whole dodgy Holly Peaks mess put me behind schedule. It's not like I can access my realm here, y'know. Everything has to be done by paw. But if it thought it could put me off, then that plan went down the gurgler.

[Another paint splatter, then a sigh. He can't keep his mind off things as much as he'd like to] Anyhow mates. Have any of you heard about Jack Frost? Mother Goose?

_{[ Why would he need to believe in the other? He could hear his voice, if not see him. So someone was there, someone existed. ]}

I'm the Easter Bunny, if you don't believe in me, you can't see me. Simple as.

Oh, I see. Though, personally, I have to think you are real on some level. After all, you're talking to me and we've talked before. The Castle, I do not think, would go so out of its way for a Trick when even the ghosts do not speak. At least, they have never spoken to me.

And yet you still can't see me.

_{[ Ashura pursed his lips and looked down at the two Pokemon, who, with utter certainty, were staring at the person holding the eggs. Or maybe just the egg themselves. To them, something was there, and Ashura had come to know well that animals are rarely wrong in such things.

He turned his gaze from them and back up to where the eggs were being suspended... and his eyebrows rose straight up into his bangs. ]}

When you called yourself the Easter Bunny, I had not thought you quite so... literal.

[Oh good. Being seen always makes his life so much more easier]

Well, I suppose it makes it easier to speak to you. I feel a bit less silly speaking to you than I do the empty air.

Hehe, your world has some very interesting terms for things. 'Tropo'.

_{[ He looked over as Sybil and Agni sat before some tulips, quietly waiting for the new eggs to pop out, having figured out they weren't getting the ones in the rabbit's hands. ]}

I admit I have never... seen eggs produced in quite this way.

More like the country I live in. [Under. Whichever]

It's a lot grander in my realm. I have purple rivers and twisting vines, flowers of all kinds to help me paint. It's all natural.

Oh, that sounds lovely. My own world is full of nature like that. I miss it, especially in winter. My world does not have it - or at least, my country does not.

Agni, Sybil, those are not for you to play with.

_{[ The two little pokemon looked back at him with their nearest approximation of disappointment. ]}

We have winter, but I don't have it in my realm itself. I steer clear of it, when I can.

[He casts them a LOOK]

They don't like being played with. Rack off.

_{[ They gave the rabbit a very good impression of a human look of 'yeah right'. But they didn't bother the new eggs, either. ]}

I think they've begun to pick up sass from my fiancee.

[Bunny gestures for the newly formed eggs to come to the security of his paws]

You might want to watch that.

Their sass? I wish I could. Felix's personality is... hard to resist.

_{[ He smiles a bit and makes a motion with his hands, the Pokemon trotting over and rubbing against his legs, but continuing to peer up at the rabbit as if he has done them some mortal insult. ]}

Some folk might take that kind of thing personally.

You cannot let every little thing bother you. It cannot be good for your health, uh... Easter Bunny.

I am sure that does make doing your job easier. It must be hard enough as it is.

It is, but I wouldn't swap it for anything in the world.

My, your artistic ability must be astounding... if you ever have the time, I should commission you for something to put in the room - or for the little ones.
