[The Doctor is about to exit the TARDIS into what he thinks is the warehouse in Shad Thames. Except for a nanosecond it's just far too bright, the light is all wrong and it's blinding him, he thinks he's going to miss-step or fall and... That's quickly gone and it's definitely not a dingy warehouse that he has stepped into.]
What?
[Scuffle of feet as he whirls around. Yep, TARDIS is there. More scuffling, whirling around, surveying the scene...]
What?! Where is this place? Now, that's just not right and- Hello. What are you doing? [Footsteps and he picks up the open journal from the dresser.] Oh! Now that's very clever! Feels and smells like paper and leather yet effectively transcribing my every spoken word. How is it achieved I wonder?
[Muttered...] Far too clever for this to be any of the Dalek's doing... As well as completely beyond their technology. Time scoop? Possible, but I would have seen that coming. Black Guardian? The Eternals! Ah, that feels more like it, this has their hallmark all over it. Oh no. Where are Tegan and Turlough?
Oh look, this journal caught all that as well, a nice record all in my own hand. [There's the sound of pages being flipped.] Hmm. Lots of other different hands as well... That can't bode well...
[Journal open in hand he cautiously leaves the room but not before suspiciously noting that 2109 has his name on its plate.]
Hello? Anyone there? Pardon me, but I seem to be in a spot of bother and appear to have lost my friends and a warehouse... Rather careless of me, I know... Has anyone seen a young man or woman, answering to the names of Turlough and Tegan respectively? It's quite important that I find them. Lovely stone castle you have by the way, shame that I can't stay.
[[ OOC: The Doctor is in! Feel free to pester him via journal or in person. He's wandering around the towers and making his way to the ground floor. :) ]]

oh, he'd know that noise ANYWHERE. Mark literally drops the stereo he's repairing - whoops, crash - and gapes at his open journal as his heart leaps into his throat. when the TARDIS door creaks open he waits, not even daring to breathe ... but the voice isn't His Doctor, it's the other one: Nora's. still, though, a Doctor is a Doctor and a TARDIS is a TARDIS...]
Holy shit.
[funny, for a DJ, you'd think he'd be more eloquent about it]

But to the side of himself that knew what it was to be human still, these months had dragged by very slowly indeed. That side wanted nothing more than to see his brothers and sisters once more.
He pauses at the sight of another wanderer through the castle. Something about him whispered to Will of Time.]
Hullo? Don't think I've seen you around before.
[Action]
Hello. I'd daresay not, I've not been here before. I'm The Doctor. What's your name? How did you get here?

Oh! Hi, you look new. Was that you on the journal?
excellent!
Hello! You heard all of that, did you? [He holds up the journal in his hand.] It broadcasts! Really quite marvellous, I shall have to get one of my own. I'm The Doctor, pleased to meet you Miss.

That sound...
Dairine drops her books, staring at the journal. He's back. The Doctor is back. And not just any Doctor, her Doctor. The only person in Paradisa whom she knew from her own universe. It seems too good to be true.
But she had to take the chance. Without further ado, Dairine rushes out of her room to search. The TARDIS didn't sound far away. Dairine runs down the stairs of Ira Tower, aiming for the lobby. That was a common spot for new arrivals. If he wasn't there, she'd keep going until she searched the whole castle.]

He passes by the Doctor slowly, seemingly oblivious to the other man while he continues to mutter his charms. He stops for a moment when one apparently escapes him and stands there, tapping his wand on his chin while he thinks. ]
Now what was that charm again ... ?
[ He scowls, but then soon realizes that he is not at all alone. Turning around, he finally catches sight of the Doctor and blinks curiously at him. ]
Tegan and Turlough? 'Fraid I haven't seen anyone by those names.
Ad infinitum!
No? Really? [Frown and a shrug of disappointment.] I'm getting quite worried about them now. I can only assume they arrived at the same time as I, which means they can't have gotten far. But then, you know what they say about the word 'assume'.
I'm The Doctor, how do you do? [That hand appears and it's out in front of him for a shake.] What do you have there?

Hello again, Doctor. You've already been told you've been here before, I see. I'm Simon; we were friends before and I hope we can get to know each other all over again.

I've made a lot of friends when I come here later, it seems. I must have been dashing about quite a bit. How long did you know me for?

[Smile in his voice.] Yes, back. Or coming, later. If you know the TARDIS you may know that navigating isn't always one of her strongest points. But don't let her know I said that. I am at a disadvantage yet again I'm afraid. You are?

The castle has very strange timing. Or perhaps it thinks it amusing to overwhelm her like this. Her husband leaves, an old friend arrives. Give and take, like the flow of the sea.]
I fear you may be here longer than you would prefer, Doctor.
[There's a warmth to her tone and expression despite the unpleasant news she's delivering. He had greeted her upon her arrival; now she could return the favor. It was fitting in a way.]
OMG thank you! <3 Someone tell him that he can't escape!
[His voice is gentle as he steps closer to this enchanting woman.] Hello. Whatever would you mean by that? I have some unfinished business unfortunately. A quick reccy then I will need to be on my way. Might I ask with whom I have the pleasure?
She tries to be helpful!

Welcome back, Doctor. My name's Phoebe Halliwell. There's an entry in the journal in your hands that will be a big help to you, I think. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a while since the woman who created it has long since gone home but it's still all useful information. [She writes a page number down]
If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help you however I can.
no subject
Hmm? Ah, my apologies, that was rude of me. This is extremely interesting and I shall read it all later. [He's smiling and it's evident in his voice.] I'll be sure to come to you if I have questions. Are you a caretaker of sorts in regards to this place? You say the young lady here went home... How do you know she did?

Nora nearly spits out her tea when she hears that voice, that amazing voice coming out of the Time Lord she'd been mourning the loss of since he'd vanished from the castle. Her pencil clatters to the floor as she scrabbles to grab her journal]

seriously how do you be friends with the Doctor and not know what a Dalek is, but to be honest the actual content of the post isn't what she cares about at the moment.Though this is dictated, it shows up in the journal in distinctive red text!]
