☽ 007 [ New Moon ] - - Dictated

 [ There's a polite, albeit slightly distracted and nervous, tone to Remus' voice as he addresses Paradisa this morning. He's a few months late in asking this question, as he's known for some time that there are other magic-users living here in the Castle, but his mind has been much too preoccupied as of late. He's finally had a chance to sit down and think for once.
Since he's been here, Remus has been curious to learn about other forms of magic from other worlds. Though he is still a student, he likes to think of himself as well-versed in the subject and is keen to learn more about other possibilities. 

There is a light clearing of his throat, before he speaks. ]

To anyone here in the castle who has any knowledge of, or has received an education in the use of magic, I would like to meet you. 
To be frank, I sort of have a natural curiosity for this sort of thing and would very much like to learn from or at least speak to some of you -- if you're willing, of course.
I'll be in the library later today, if you'd like to meet in person.

Likewise, if anyone has any questions for me on this subject, I'd be happy to answer them. Seeing as this place has never heard of a thing called the 'International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy', I suppose a little "showing-off" couldn't hurt anyone.

[ He ends his little speech with a polite thank you and turns to other pressing matters. For these, he is sure to place filters. ]

[ Filtered to Hermione Granger. ]

I've done some work on the Map recently, but I'm stuck on one blasted charm. I can figure out how to make staircases move on a map, but can't -- for the life of me -- remember the one to make the ink reappear when we ask it to.
Oh, and Sirius' asked me to speak to him. 

[ Filtered to Sirius Black. ]

[ He's rather hesitant with this one, and again, it's taken him a few tries to get the words out of his mouth. But he's thought about it and he's tired of being a coward. He wasn't sorted into Gryffindor for nothing! ]

If ... if you're still willing, I'll come talk to you.

[ Wow, Sirius never realized he could be as glad to hear his friend's voice as he is now. ]

Will you let me in your room? Or would you like to come to mine? I could meet you somewhere else, though, if you want...

Sirius.

[lupinotuum]

[ As much as Remus would like to get out of his room, he's too nervous to even try stepping out of it. Better if Sirius comes to him, then he has no way of changing his mind. ]

Come to mine? I can't change my mind that way.

I'd hate to corner you, but if you insist...

[ And so, after a little fumbling around, Sirius is making his way to the tower. He takes a deep breath before he knocks, and calls out softly. ]

It's me.

I'll be glad to help you with that.

Did he? Good luck, then. I hope the discussion goes well.

I'd be glad for it. Sort of stuck on the tip of my tongue, you know?

[ He chuckles weakly. ] I'm just hoping I don't change my mind to agree to meet him...

If you chicken out, I'll be right there to drag you back to him. I don't want you two avoiding each other forever. [she's been down that road already with Harry and Ron. It sucks]

[ Arya can do things. Odd things. She knows too: things she shouldn't, things no one should be able to. She still fights it being magic. She can see every filter to those with magic and she believes they are broken.

She has no desire to speak of it.

Learning about others, though, that she is happy to.

She finishes her work before returning to the castle. In the library, she looks for Remus. Once she finds him, she walks over to stand at his elbow. ]

Hello.

Action forever.

[ Remus is just reaching up to place a book back on its shelf when Arya appears. Her voice startles him a little, as he didn't hear or smell her approaching, but he smiles when he glances at her nonetheless. ]

Hello, Arya.

[ He pauses a moment when he finds he can't quite reach the shelf and simply takes out his wand, muttering a levitation spell and casting it on the book. ]

My knowledge of spells is... somewhat narrow in focus, but I'm always happy to discuss theory.

What do you know of spells, then, if you don't mind me asking? I'm rather curious.

We actually have something of a group of magic users, though given that trying to get more than two mages to agree on anything is like herding cats, I use the term 'group' loosely. If you're a mage yourself, you'd be welcome.

I don't think I'm quite interested in joining, unfortunately, but if I'd at least be allowed to drop by to speak to some of you, I'd like that.

[ There's a hint of a wry little smile in his voice. He knows who this is. Sirius mentioned her before. ]
