The entire place was silent, and the hallways are empty. One could seriously hear a pin drop from doors away. But then...

BAM!

A small figure of a young woman in green bursts out of the door, flying out of the room feet first. Theme music go!]

Hwataaaa! Nice try, but you kidnapped the wrong person, whoever you are!

[She did not realize her journal was open, and following her around. So whoever had their journals open would hear a loud noise that sounds like a shotgun blast]

I'm glad you're okay! I just woke up here after hanging out at Samegawa. I thought I got kidnapped and put into the TV again, even after we just found out who the real killer was... [Chie scratched her head, almost embarrassed]

[Wait... Chie knows? Or does she mean one of the other suspects that they had earlier in the case?]

Um, this might sound weird, but... when was that? Like, what month?

[If she really knows, she might be the closest to Rise's own time in the whole castle!]

So we're from close to the same time!

It was April back home when I first woke up here a couple of months ago. But Yukiko-chan says it was last August for her, and I don't remember either of you disappearing. So I guess everyone's right about time freezing back home while we're here...

[Yep, she's just acting like this is all pretty normal by now. And unconsciously rushing the explanation just a bit.]

[Chie took a second to process all of it. It didn't help that the explanation is a little rushed]

So time freezes back home? That's a huge relief. Now I don't have to worry about mom and dad freaking out if I didn't make it home tonight.

Yeah, we'll all just go back to whenever we left! ... Once the castle sends us back. It sends everyone back eventually.

But we don't get any older while we're here, either! At least, that's what everyone says. I've only been here a couple of months, but I know some people who have been here for years...

[It almost feels like she just explained all of this to Yukiko, even though that was about a month ago.]

Yeah, some grumpy old guy told me about the years thing. He's like Yosuke's future or something.

Where are you in the castle, Rise-chan?

[Yosuke's future? Rise can't help but imagine that as some pervy guy hitting on everyone and causing accidents anytime he drove a car anywhere.]

In my room.

[She was trying to relax for a while before bed before she opened the journal to that.]

Where are you? If you woke up in your room, there should be a number by the door...

The door... Uh, yeah about that... [Chie scratched her head]

I kinda kicked it to bits? [Chie cringed when she finished that sentence] But I know my door number, it's 1612.

[Rise just sighs at Chie's admission.]

Yeah, I know.

[The whole castle knows you kicked your door to bits, Chie! Gosh!]

It'll be fine! The castle'll probably fix it.

[She knows roughly where Chie's room is now, too.]

Oh, and that's in one of the towers! I'm in 725 if you wanna come down for a bit. It's on the top floor, so it should be pretty easy to find.

[She'd offer to go to Chie instead but that would require getting dressed and whatnot again.]

Whew! At least I don't have to worry about that... I'm actually walking down as we talk, I'll be there in a flash! [Chie's experience in the TV world helped her with directions, so she'll have no problem finding Rise's room]

Okay! [Pause] Just... use the knob this time.

[She's teasing. Mostly. There might be a hint of caution in there somewhere.]

[In a minute, Rise would hear a knock on her door. Chie can be careful if she tries!]

Rise-chan? It's Chie. I'm here.

[Woo Action Time!]

[Rise opens the door, dressed in just pajamas and with her hair down. She's definitely put a lot of time into personalizing her room, so it's kind of halfway between the luxury suite type of room she was provided by "default" and something more like she would have stayed in back home. Also, it's very pink. The only thing that really seems out of place is the giant pillow taking up almost a whole wall.

Despite her annoyance at the sudden noise earlier, Rise smiles as soon as she sees Chie.]

Hey!

[It really is good to see another familiar face! She opens the door a little wider and motions inside.]

Come to think of it, where am I going to get clothes from? I can't wear this forever after all.

[Rise just barely quirks an eyebrow a tiny bit at the question, but that quickly gives way to a smile when Chie compliments her.]

Thanks! I just found them in my closet a few days ago.

You should have plenty of clothes too! The castle seems to know what kinds of styles we like. And you can always wish for stuff if you need more.
