Road Trip
[He could have sworn that he'd left his journal in his room, wanting nothing to do with the thing for a while. Then water had started pouring out of the compartment he usually kept it in.
Church had set his motion tracker and using the coordinate system Delta had shown him made roughly for the outpost Aradia was staying at. He had planned to take a few days to get out there, taking his time and actually stopping for the night rather than walking through. At some point he decided to turn off his clock and just enjoy being alone for a while.
It wasn't until he found the sopping wet journal he realized he'd been out there for a week.]
[Filtered: Aradia]
Hey, sorry I'm late... lost track of time. I should be there in a couple of hours.

Hey, sorry I'm late... lost track of time. I should be there in a couple of hours.

Church
i was wondering where you were at
if youre that close you can probably see the watchtower right :0
Aradia
Hey, that's not bad. I wasn't as off track as I thought.
[Hooray for knowing how to actually use his armor! Well, some of it anyway. He'll need Delta to show him more sometime.]
Church
just ring the bell when you get here
and i will make up some lunch in the meantime as long as im waiting
do you want anything particular
[because let no one accuse her of being a less than excellent hostess!]
Aradia / Action
[Could he just tell her that he doesn't eat because he's not technically alive, sure... will he? Oh hells no, that shit is embarrassing! Plus, it's the kind of thing he's out there to avoid thinking about.]
See you soon.
[He gives the south side of the outpost a quick look over before finally ringing the bell.]

Hey, come in! Welcome!
no subject
Hey. Sorry I missed your big painting party.
[No, not really... he's at least making the effort to be polite.]

Aradia ushers him in, telekinetically shutting the door behind him. The front door leads shortly into the two-story foyer/lobby, where some painting has clearly gone on. It's not finished, though, of course. The only real furniture at present is an unfashionable couch, table, and TV; a pink monkey is sleeping on top of the latter.]
It's all right. You can still contribute if you feel like it. [she doesn't particularly expect him to feel like it though.]
no subject
[Although, he probably will anyway. He needs something to do overnight.]
You've got power out here, so that's a good sign.
[and a pink monkey? WTF.]

[shrug. He's no engineer, but it might at least give him an idea of what he has to work with.]
I might know someone who can come out to look at it.

[The hall leads past some other rooms to a downward stair. There is not much in the basement except a mostly-empty storage room and the power room, which is where she will go ahead and take him.]
no subject
[He tags along. This place is bigger than he thought it would be.]
Guy named Harper. Genius, but kind of a pain in the ass.

[Doop doop into the power room! Which... doesn't have a lot of equipment really, except for a mid-sized arc reactor (yep, sure is of the Tony Stark variety) and a bunch of wires outbound. Given that it's Stark tech, it's kind of a miracle she was able to integrate it at all, and the occasional flickers from the machinery miiight hint that it's not quite 100% stable.]
no subject
Wow
[well, that's some kind of crazy nuclear reactor thing with lots of jury-rigging going on. He's definitely not touching it.
He casually wonders just how big of an explosion it'll cause if it goes. Then he realizes how glad he is that Caboose isn't here, Caboose would have drawn to play with this thing like a fly to a bug zapper.]
This is way above my pay-grade.

Assuming he doesn't blow us all sky high.
[Talking about bringing Harper out here finally get's something to click.]
Ohgoddamnit... I was supposed to bring someone out here with me.
no subject
[May as well doop on back upstairs now, at any rate.]
no subject
[He thinks about it for a few seconds.]
Natasha.
[doop de doop, he's glad to get away from that reactor. Flickering glowing reactors are creepy.]
I suppose I should go back and get her... or something.

[He might as well take his helmet off if he's sticking around for a little while. That was the polite thing to do, even if it still felt just a bit odd doing so.]
I can always head back by teleporter and save myself a lot of time.
no subject
lmao i didn't know the helmet came offi mean um. welp this sure is the first time she's seen his normal face, whaddaya know.][Aaaaanyway she'll just show him around the rest of the place in abridged form! There's just the one front door and the transportalizer as far as ways in and out, apart from the windows. And there are some magical wards on the place already, which she'll be happy to tell him about but doesn't really know the specifics of what they do. There's also a large geodesic glass dome making up the top floor, which she's very proud of but thinks could probably use some kind of force field for reinforcement.]
