If I recall correctly, there are a lot of people who've had birthdays come and go in the castle, yes? There's not a lot of funny business to them, is there? I've only got a month until my own, and I'd like to be ready. Might as well have one sweet sixteen I don't bungle...

Ahem! Yes, well! Look at all this pie! I've never seen so many kinds...some of which are definitely inedible, yes. I'm pretty sure the one I found in my room is made of shaving cream.

Hm...I think I'll take a walk, see what other kinds of pies I can find. Hoo hoo hoo!

[Jane's on the other side of the kitchen, carefully picking her own way through pies. She doesn't want to throw hot pies, or pies filled with inanimate objects. The key lime pie in her grasp seems perfect-

Hm? [He looks over to see Jane...with a pie? She wasn't honestly going to throw it at him, was she?]

[Sorry, Jane, Giotto has his supernatural sixth sense called Hyper Intuition and he can see it coming. So he just gracefully ducks under it, letting it harmlessly pass over his head. Nice try, Jane.]

Good throw, but next time? Don't warn me first. [Though he'd still probably dodge it mostly.]

Maaaaybe. But it's just for fun! I'm careful not to throw pies that might seriously hurt someone.

We never really celebrated anything like that...

Well, for a birthday, people usually throw a party. There's snacks, and a cake, and games and music...but what do you mean, for mine?

I mean I want to do those sorts of things for you on your birthday! You're my friend, Jane... I think you deserve to have a good birthday, e-even if I don't really know very much about it...

And, um, I don't know if I can pick my own. Nobody else gets to choose, do they? So-- it wouldn't really be fair.
