4th Ideal Sephira: Yay Pie Day!

[there's a Dextera in your kitchen today, eating pies. no, apparently Valentine's Day wasn't enough for him to understand that castle food sometimes bite you when you least expected it. but at the very least he had tried a few in his room and didn't feel funny so they were probably safe (hopefully).

that aside, he was rather enjoying himself. sweets were something he still wasn't used to having and tended to indulge in when he had the chance, even if one of the pies in question had a boot in it for some reason. it still tasted okay anyways.

after a minute of pie eating, Dextera decides to write out a question. curiosity and sweets on the brain tended to do that to him, apparently.]

Can I ask why kinds of sweets people like?

[In the search for something to eat besides pie, Rin wanders into the kitchen, just in time to find Dextera eating a boot pie.]

[he blinks and swallows before grabbing his journal and scribbling something down.]

I think it tastes okay. Hasn't done anything to me yet.

[yeah, he's completely missed the fact that he's eating a pie with a boot stuck in it.]

[It takes her a moment to register that she should be looking in her own journal to see what he's written. With absolutely no grace at all, she sits down heavily on the floor and combines twisting her torso and bending her legs awkwardly in order to dump her journal out of a low-slung knapsack she wears over one shoulder. She then proceeds to flip through it with her feet. Already she's found some good workarounds for having no arms in a place like this.]

When you try to digest it, it will do a lot to you.

[he tips his head to the side slightly when she starts looking for her journal with her feet. Dextera is used to seeing people missing limbs but most of them hadn't found a workaround like this before.]

It'll do bad things when it goes to my stomach?

[he wanted to make sure that's what she meant.]

Yes. Eating boots is worse than eating nothing at all. Why don't you speak?

[Dextera puts the boot pie aside and picks out a different one. he knew that chocolate didn't taste like footwear at least. but to answer your second question...]
